"RUDE! My father has cancer and cannot eat at restaurants with ratings under 99. We called the Frosty Mug to get their rating because it’s one of my dad’s favorite places to eat. The woman on the phone (presumably the owner) was INCREDIBLY rude. She even went as far as saying he should just stay home and eat there. We have a very large family and we all loved to eat there. From this point on, we won’t, and neither should you. They don’t care about their customers and this woman made it clear."

I’m not sure why people are complaining that the staff was rude but that was not true with our experience. The girl who took our order and brought our food was amazingly nice despite how hot it was outside. Those girls ran around taking orders and brining out food and never complained or acted angry. The food was amazing! Classic burger and fries, plus their coleslaw was great! We definitely would like to return and try some other things on the menu!

"We went to see the Open House At LMU vet center. Zachary has a Bachelor Degree In Vet snd has 7 years Experience small animal …. Wr drove 7 hours on Thursday stayed at great A-B and B. We try to frequent family owned shops and this place is amazing. If you visit you must try this place! We had breakfast dishes Zachary had the blackberry sandwich ….. you must try this ,… Here is the university. Vet school is harder to get into than being a doctor!!!! This is Zachary’s dream."

"We had a good experience coming to this restaurant. I had the Spinach Pie and my friend had the Chicken Parmesan. We both had a side salad and bread sticks with our meals, which we both agreed was the best part of the experience. The entrees were very good as well though and we will order them again! The lack of one star comes from the waitress. Unfortunately, the staff seemed preoccupied with guests dining that they personally knew and attended to them rather than other customers. The table next to us was ready to leave when finally the waitress told them she was coming. I think there needs to be some more professionalism established with the waiting staff."

"Shelly Bells is situated on the river bridge heading towards Tazewell. I recall the pleasant journey, which isn’t far, and as I passed the kayaking and rental place, I noticed signs leading to a scenic spot by the river adorned with tall birch trees and a charming wooden house that exuded a welcoming vibe. Upon arrival, I was greeted with smiles and had the option to sit at various tables, either in the dining area or outside on the veranda. Alternatively, I could have chosen to relax in their spacious bar area, watching TV while enjoying a meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it difficult to leave. The staff was friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. I truly had one of the best meals of my life here! I highly recommend this lovely spot by the river."

"We use to come here a good bit when camping in Cumberland Gap but it's been about a year since our last visit. Last time we were there they had an evaluator going through the place to try and figure out how to improve the food and service. Well, they must have taken the evaluator's advice. Coleslaw was overly creamy and sweet, baked beans tasted weird and had ground beef including some large almost spoon size chunks, catfish wasn't nearly as thick as previously, and the hush puppies had not texture either outside or inside. This is a shame because the coleslaw use to be a good balance, the hush puppies had the perfect outside texture with a great sweet cornmeal taste inside, the beans were somewhat plain but with a wonderful taste, and the catfish were thick enough so the meat was thicker than the crust. All of this was enough that my wife before even finishing the meal said she was disappointed and won't be coming back. That says something since we use to eat here two or three times during each of our several yearly trips to Cumberland Gap. Oh and on top of the all the negative food changes, the prices went up and the lunch specials disappeared. This we could handle because everything is going up, but only if the food still tasted good which it wasn't.."
