Excellent Service and Delicious Food! We've visited several times, and the staff has always been friendly and attentive. Our orders have consistently been accurate and tasty! It's surprising how rare that is at other places. We can't wait to check out the deli, too!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent, and even as a solo diner, the waitress treated me with the same attentiveness as guests at full tables, which I truly appreciated. I opted to sit outside and enjoyed some delicious food. The chowder was particularly outstanding—definitely give it a try!

The food was expensive and disappointing. The bowl of clam chowder was decent; it had a thick consistency but was a bit too sweet. The homemade Alfredo pasta with grilled chicken was not great—there was too much sauce and not enough flavor, and it could definitely use more seasoning. To top it off, the food was cold. Band plays outside with tables. Chill atmosphere inside, able to hear the band inside, but not overpowered. The first time was the lobster roll and the shell cake. Clam cake was very tasteful and cheap. Lobster roll was delicious. Portions were good. My friend got the chicken tender appetizer that had about 6 big deals. For the second time, I have fried pickles and the seafood knowers. Very tasteful and fillable. My fist almost had a whole hump in her. So you don't skip the contents of the Chowder. The staff was friendly and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend and go back.

If you like to be told to leave then come to Gilbert's. They don't mind over serving every person at the bar. Enjoy have old men who are drunk as hell and disgusting hitting at you and staring at you at the bar. They take over 30 minutes to bring a soup, when you ask why it's taking so long they say they have other orders. Instead of saying we apologize for the wait, they make you feel like you shouldn't have even come there to get dinner. They act like you are not a customer that should come to their establishment. I'm a tip paying guest, who deserves regular treatment when I go to a place for dinner. Thanks for the terrible experience.

Gilberts Chowder House Two is the second addition to the Chowder House family. This location has indoor and outdoor seating and the atmosphere inside is similar to a pub. All wood inside with televisions and a bar in the middle. The service is friendly and prompt and the food is low quality and lacks uniqueness including the chowder. If you want a place to get together with your friends and have a drink with mediocre food to accompany, this is your place. My wife and I came for lunch to have some food before we traveled outside the state. We were seated right away and greeted promptly.
