Jamie's Italian - Square One

We go once a week. You can't beat the food or the service !!

"Old school" steakhouse with minimal frills, so the food has to be shiny! The food was solid, the waitress struggled and our total time in the restaurant was close to 90 minutes - way too slow considering they weren't busy.

Server was incredibly rude. I never asked if we need to refill drinks. I never asked if the food was okay. Ordered a medium-rare prime rib. It came out medium good. My husband's middle rib was much rarer than mine. Just an overall bad experience. Visualizza piatti

As always, the highlight of the meal was the prime rib. That's the main reason I occasionally stop for dinner at Jerico's. The blue cheese salad dressing is so-so and tastes like a glass, but the wine portions are quite generous, although the wine list is pretty dated and conventional. And at 77, I just have to have qualified to reach the minimum age for entry! Still, the prime rib is the best in town.!

Going to this restaurant was a terrible experience. Our waitress was one of the worst I've ever had. We waited 15 minutes for drinks. When she finally came to take our order, she said she forgot her pen. She disappeared for another 20 minutes. The food was cold and tasteless. At one point my brother said my grandmother's steaks were better and that she was the worst cook in the family. To top it off, the waitress never came back with my change when I paid my bill, she pocketed it. If it had been more money I would have complained right away, but it was $ 8.

The food was very good. However, the service was not. It took a while before we came in and someone greeted us at the host station. Once greeted, we sat and then it took over 5 minutes for our waitress to contact us. We discussed getting up and going somewhere else when she got to our table. We ordered drinks and the wait began. We could see our drinks at the bar but again it took forever for the waitress to bring them to us. Overall, the only salvation for us that night was the food. It was very good. Jerico's has been our point of contact for special occasions for years. Unfortunately, this time has not fulfilled all of our previous experiences. Usually the fillets (Knight's Cut) are incredibly tasty and tender. This time they were barely seasoned and had to be sent back to reach the medium kitchen we requested. This information was shared with both the hostess and our server. While the hostess offered to put another steak on the grill, we didn't want that as it would have been wasteful as we wouldn't be able to eat it then and we wouldn't be able to eat it at home in time. Went there on a Monday night and it was like 25% filled. Was surprised to see so empty in a summer night. This is my second time to Jamie's Square One. Last time (last year) was good and portion was big but this time, they cheap out on food quality, We ordered a salmon dinner and the salmon was so small and only came with little veggie and no bread. I ordered a prawn Linguine and the shrimps were so small, these are not prawn and how can they called prawns? Ordered a pizza for appetizer and the pizza hardly any topping for $20. I had been sent off by a few people because I LOVE prime rib. I had just heard great things about the restaurant. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing for us. We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there, the hostess didn't confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. She was our waitress and was pretty good. The drinks were well made but small for the price. We ordered the prime rib.
