Jamie's Italian - Square One

We came at 2pm to the restaurant it was quite empty but clean and cozy .Extrem nice waiter took really good care of us.

the food is pretty bad. salad has way too vinegar in it. pizza under cooked. sea food pasta bland. service ok but have to call the waiter twice to get the drink. avoid this place at any cost.

We have dined at the Yorkdale location and thought the food was great.Unfortunately, our lunch at the Square One location was very disappointing.We shared the chicken salad which was boring and bland.The garlic bread with sun dried tomato tapenade was also not great.Service was good. We are sure it is not because of the popular Jamie Oliver name that set a higher in our expectation. We try garlic bread, salad, pizza, pastas and steaks. Garlic bread, salad and pizza are average in taste, steaks are vary from average to better but pastas are definitely less than average, the taste is unfriendly somehow. The place is nice & big. The price is standard.

My friend and I ordered Salmon ravioli and a vegetarian pasta. The food was great and tasty. I was quite surprised at how good the ravioli and vege pasta were. We were a bit too stuffed for dessert, but their selection was also quite limited. The Salmon ravioli was tasty but the serving was extremely small! The service was good and the atmosphere was welcoming. An overall nice experience.

The pasta at this restaurant was not enjoyable. It was flavorless and dull, served at room temperature. The service was attentive and willing to remake the dishes for us. The second attempt was better - warm, but the flavor was still lacking and the sauce was too watery. For the price, we expected better quality and unfortunately, we would not return. We have always been fans of Jamie's for our gatherings with friends and family. My husband and I were looking forward to a great night out with delicious food. Unfortunately, this time was a letdown. My vegan pasta was flavorless and my husband's clam pasta was too salty. Even my friend's go-to dish, the carbonara, was overly salty and required lots of water. We struggled to balance the flavors by drinking water constantly. The service was not up to par either, with our server continuously apologizing for mistakes and mentioning her bad night. I was not impressed with my experience at this restaurant. I had high expectations but was left feeling underwhelmed. I ordered the Gluten Pasta with Bolognese sauce, which was tasty, but my husband's seafood capelleti was only average and the portion was smaller than expected. He ended up eating some of my father-in-law's regular Bolognese, which was a more generous portion. To be honest, I was underwhelmed. I was expecting more. I don't know why. I chose a simple dish, the Gluten Pasta with the Bolognese sauce, which was delicious. My husband's dish, the seafood capelleti was ok, bu the portion was smaller than expected. He ended up eating some of my father-in-law's dish (he had the regular Bolognese) which was very generous.
