I got the idea that she didn 't understand me, so I asked a clarifying question, and she just hung up on me! If you don 't know how to speak English that 's fine, but it 's not fine answering the questions with no or yes, and not knowing what the hell you 're saying. You must have a very low IQ to not understand the difference. If I didn 't question the language barrier, the results could 've been life-threatening to my family. Extremely disappointing. Also this place needs milk alternatives! Not everyone can drink milk from a cow breast. I went to this place at 9:30pm. When i got there I asked for some nachos. They were cold af. The cheese wasn't even runny. you know its cold when the cheese doesn't even move. I was too shy to complain so I sucked it up and just ate them. And they were $5can you believe it. #thanksobama

I would give this place zero stars if possible... I've came twice and both times were horrible first time they told me I had to wait outside because only five people were allowed inside I was kinda okay with that because I understand Covid rules however someone offered to wait outside instead because I had a small baby and it was very cold they would not allow it and the people are just super rude the second time I came I decided to stop by goodwill first which happens to be next door (they don't allow food/drinks) when heading back I went to put my items in the car and my car had been impounded so I definitely could no longer buy strawberries and crème because I had to get my car I will nev...

"I recently tried a protein boba drink, but it turned out to be a big mistake for my stomach. I waited around 15 to 18 minutes for it, and when I finally got it, it wasn't properly made. There were still clumps of protein powder in the drink, and it was quite warm. Since I was in a hurry, I couldn't return it and felt compelled to drink it despite it costing about $7. I regret that choice deeply, and now my stomach is suffering. BE CAUTIOUS!"

"Black bear diner has a full menu, big portions, and serves breakfast all day... which is why I came today- breakfast at 3pm on a Sunday. The workers were kind and polite. My waitress was very helpful and recommended some chili cheese fries instead of loaded fries, which turned out to be the best decision I made all week. Chili cheese fries: chili was flavorful and meaty. Cheese was melted. And ordered a side of sour cream for added flavor. Blackberry filled bearclaw French toast: this was absolutely amazing. Not too sweet but I added warm syrup to satisfy my sweet tooth. The bowl of fruit was also ripe and delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked and plated. Overall a great experience that left me happy full."

"Gino 's isn 't the same! The restaurant recently changed ownership so I suppose that is what 's going on. There were four of us ordering appetizers main courses. The bruschetta was inedible with cold unripe tomatoes tossed in tons of preserved sulfured garlic as in all you could taste was preservative from the crushed garlic and they didn 't even toast the bread. The Barrata was literally a ball of Barrata and one sliced unripe tomatoe. By the way, it 's July when tomatoes are great. The cannelloni was full of bread crumbs almost no meat. It was gummy and the pasta wasn 't good. The raviolis have changed too, which was a strong point there. My son ordered the special which was a combination of small portions of three mains and was disappointed in all of them. My husband ordered the polenta and stew and was just okay. The cappuccino machine was broken and the Tiramisu wasn 't the same. The restaurant wasn 't very crowded for a Sunday night so I think they already are feeling the pain of the kitchen not delivering. The hostess, bartender and server was very good. Get it together Gino 's! Saving money with poor ingredients and cooking will cost you success, or at least our business."

"This restaurant is extremely noisy, the food is bland, and the service is terrible. I would definitely recommend going elsewhere, as there are much better sushi options in Salinas. If you're in the mood for Japanese cuisine, there are also better choices in town. I didn't try the hibachi, so I can't comment on that, but it is even louder on that side of the restaurant. If you have epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing lights, be cautious as they have flashing lights that they may turn on without warning. If someone in your party is sensitive to loud noise, this place may be overwhelming for them as well."

"The food at Khao San is excellent, with generous servings at a reasonable price. The golden chicken fried rice was exactly as described by other reviewers, with plenty of rice and leftovers to take home. While I was hoping for Filipino-style fried chicken, the breaded fillet was more American than Asian. However, the light and crispy breading and juicy chicken made up for it. The pad thai is the best in Monterey County, with a perfect sauce. Although it lacked bean sprouts on the side like our favorite pad thai at TK Noodles, it was still delicious and served in generous portions. Another plus was being able to dine in and enjoy the nice restaurant atmosphere with ceramic dishes, real silverware, and filtered water. Overall, with good food, service, portions, and pricing, I highly recommend Khao San."
