"luce had his up and down. it is currently on an up we ate their culinary menu, which was prominently displayed on their regular menu, in contrast to so many restaurants that literally try to hide this special (charity, etc menu from them. the crab cake and the insalata de mare were generous and excellent as appetizers. a bonus glass champagne was included. the kalbscaloppini was heavy on the garlic and slightly overcooked on my taste, but otherwise fine. vealschaft and ribeye steak with garnelen both were up to par. chocolate lava torta was excellent, and it came with (too little) vanille gelato. one of our best evenings at luce."

The food was delicious but the cheesecake was too dryâcould not eat it with a spoon. There was a private party in a room next to us, and they were very loud- it was great when they left. Overall Luce was a very good experience and service was great!

Everything was great! The food, wine and service. My husband had the seafood stuffed flounder and I had the lobster ravioli. The portions were generousâenough for lunch the next day. Our girls' night out was wonderful. Gilbert, our server, was very attentive, polite, and timed everything perfectly. Our reservation was right on schedule and the seating was great. The food was served piping hot and tasted delicious. We enjoyed happy hour appetizers and wine, making for a fantastic evening.

I recently enjoyed an early Christmas dinner at this restaurant with my mother-in-law and family. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city, and we visit frequently. Joe, the owner, is exceptional and the menu is fantastic. I highly recommend the ossobucco, carciofi, lasagna, chicken parmigiana, papperdelle, and lamb chops. The chianti wine complements the dishes well, and the Luce wine is also wonderful. This is some of the best food I have ever had. While the service may not always be perfect, they do a good job overall.
