One of our favorite Italian restaurants. However this time the service was not up to par. We were also very disappointed to find out that the kitchen actually closed at 8 PM as we had 7:30 reservations and this made for a very hurried evening. Not what we expected.

I had an exceptional experience planning a business dinner for 25 people with the staff at this restaurant. The owner and servers were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and helpful. Let me tell you folks something. You need to get here and eat. We had the meatballs,this shrimp dish. The Stromboli and the ravioli. Dylan was our server. The young man was spot on with all of his recommendations. We met the owner, Joe. The atmosphere was top-notch. Outside was chilly enough for them to have the fire going. Between the amazing food. Conversation with Joe and Dylan. This establishment is an easy 5-star hidden gem.

I recently enjoyed an early Christmas dinner at this restaurant with my mother-in-law and family. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city, and we visit frequently. Joe, the owner, is exceptional and the menu is fantastic. I highly recommend the ossobucco, carciofi, lasagna, chicken parmigiana, papperdelle, and lamb chops. The chianti wine complements the dishes well, and the Luce wine is also wonderful. This is some of the best food I have ever had. While the service may not always be perfect, they do a good job overall.

I'm not sure why this place is not more well-known, as it is always packed and serves delicious food. Maybe it's the location outside of downtown San Antonio, but whatever the reason, I'm grateful to have discovered it. I have visited many times and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. I recently tried the salmon with vegetable risotto and it was outstanding. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the risotto was delicious. When paired with wine, the experience felt like dining at a 5-star restaurant for the price of a 2-star one. Overall, great food and great value at this restaurant. Ver carta
