If you walk away hungry it's your fault. It takes a bit of time to get your food but it's worth the wait. Our waitress was awesome. She was polite and fast.

The food is always excellent. It's a family-owned, small establishment that has gained a lot of popularity. While it could certainly benefit from some updates, it has its own charm as it is.

Quintessential mom and pop hometown cafe. Staff was friendly. Food was delicious. You will leave with enough for dinner too. Prepare to wait a bit if they are busy. Totally worth the wait. Unc's Mess and the Apple Fritter French Toast were stand outs!

Traveled 60 miles just to eat there. Best food and an overwhelming amount of food for the cost. Great service. Some place a person should stop at. The inside is out dated but it only add to the expensive. I have always been very loyal and have never had any regrets or second thoughts about returning

This place is fantastic!!!! Great food and awesome staff, the servers are amazing and have phenomenal memories. After coming here just a few times they remembered our drink choices and our favorite meals memorized. This has been one of our favorite places ever. They are personable, proficient, kind and always make us feel at home. But not just us, all their customers. If you come to La Crosse be sure to stop in and enjoy the experience for yourselves.

I have been going to LaCrosse for the Oktoberfest racing and until this year had never heard of them. Glad I did now! Old style diner ambiance and awesome home cooked meals. If you're looking for a quick meal this is not the place, HOWEVER... that is a good thing. Waitstaff are awesome and the food is the best! I ordered the cinnamon roll on the waitress recommendation and was not disappointed! It was about 4-5 inches in diameter with a wonderful maple glaze that they are not chintzy. Also ordered the apple fritter french toast. Yummy!! Brother ordered the ham and cheese omelet and 5 hours later is still not hungry. Prices good,4 people can eat for about 45 dollars.
