"I made reservations a week ago for my wife 's birthday and invited our entire family. This was done through the Open Table app. I made reservations through Open Table because the few times I had called the restaurant directly there was no answer. Open Table confirmed my reservations and I was under the assumption that everything was in order. Our entire party arrived at the restaurant as scheduled only to find that it was closed for employee appreciation . This was extremely upsetting. I do not understand how I was able to make a reservation for a very special celebration when the restaurant was scheduled to be closed. My wife and I will never return to this restaurant."

Intriguing atmosphere, great drinks, and a warm welcome from the owner himself. Really enjoyed the date.

I booked another table for the following week. That should speak volumes about my experience at this restaurant.

Late night amazing dinner, the warm salsa is incredible, ate sooooo many chips. The owner was clearly super involved and caring.

Can't believe this legendary mezcal and tequila bar is closing, due to a dispute with a terrible landlord (who is threatening to open his own in the same space don't go! . Visualizza piatti

Lots and lots of mezcal choices. Cute but casual bar. I'd go here if it was date night with your boyfriend, and you wanted to experience something unique. Staff was super friendly, cocktails were delicious as well.

Our server didn’t greet us for the first 20 minutes we were there, although she was delivering drinks and food to the tables on both sides of ours. Drinks were great, guacamole was too. The queso was over cooked causing the cheese to curdle. The tacos arrived cold, and the chicken and beef tacos were mostly gristle.

Mayahuel is renowned for bringing artisanal agave spirits to New York and creating exceptional cocktails with them. In addition to their impressive drinks, they offer delicious appetizers and small plates that elevate the experience beyond just a tequila bar but not quite a full-fledged restaurant. Personally, this balance was perfect for me. Sadly, with the oversaturation of agave options in New York, Mayahuel has lost some of its uniqueness and is set to close on August 8, 2017. So make sure to visit soon before it's too late. The team at Mayahuel deserves praise for their innovative approach and overall great service. Visualizza piatti

Mayahuel is known both for introducing New York to artisanal agave spirits and for crafting amazing and thoughtful cocktails using those spirits as a base. The team bolstered their liquid refreshment with excellent appetizers and small plates, which put Mayahuel a few steps above a straight-up tequila bar but below a full-on restaurant experience. For me: perfect. Unfortunately, with interest in agave now over-saturating New York, Mayahuel lost some of its uniqueness, and is scheduled to close August So GET THERE QUICK. You will not be disappointed. Kudos to the team at Mayahuel for such foresight and, operationally, a great experience!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
