"Overall, we really liked the place. The meat lovers pizza was top notch. Their small is what we 've come to expect at most places as a large. The wings were good, not breaded. The small salad was enough for two. The carrot cake was just incredible. Hands down the best carrot cake we 've had since we came here. The (we believe) owner came to check on us. We were very happy Suggestions: Offer more than one sauce for the wings, or failing that, offer it on the side. Some people may find it too hot. Offer blue cheese for the wings and salads. Offer celery/carrot sticks with the wings. Worth the drive from James City."

"Our friend Mac introduced us to this establishment for lunch. A small sandwich shop I missed exploring on my own. The owners Sam her husband (sorry I forgot your name) have this burst of personality friendly, welcoming and treated us like long time friends. The subs were so go I gobbled it down real quick. Come on a woman is hungry. The bread is the right amount of crispiness and soft on the inside. We will definitely stop by often. No dine in at the moment. Only take out."

"I chose a lunch special from their blackboard menu, which included two fried catfish filets, two sides (I went with coleslaw and corn nuggets), hushpuppies, and a glass of tea. My mom ordered a fried shrimp salad. The catfish was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful golden crust and just a light layer of breading. Inside, the fish was moist and flavorful. The coleslaw was a bit sweet, which is typical for the region, and the corn nuggets were fried wonderfully and tasted delicious. For those unfamiliar, corn nuggets are small, battered balls of creamed corn that are fried. The hushpuppies were also cooked just right, and the tea was excellent. My mom also had positive feedback about her salad. I had a chance to try one of the shrimp, and it was plump, juicy, and cooked perfectly, just like our other dishes. The salad itself was generously portioned. Both of our meals were under $10, and we had no issues with service whatsoever. It seems that this place may be improving, especially considering the mixed reviews it received six months ago. I know I will definitely return the next time I’m in the area, and I encourage you to give them a try!"

"Wasted 30 minutes in line at the drive-thru but then decide to leave because I still hadn?t even made it to the speaker box. Near the end of my wait, I watched an employee carry two small boxes to the trash (walking slower with each step) and then smokean entire cigarette.. not caring one bit about the people who had been in line for this absurd amount of time. I understandpeople need breaks but during a busy lunch hour is NOT the time! Our family stopped going to this location probably a monthbefore they were shut down because of the service and the fact that the food quality was going downhill, but we were reallycraving fried chicken and being that it had been so many months we decided to give it another chance.. wish I had not wasted mytime or the gas to sit there for the once again, sorry inexcusable service."

"Located in Pamlico in the Food Lion parking lot. In a well lit area (very important these days and times). Good customer service (Sarafina) always smiling regardless of the situation and or circumstances. I always get the sesame chicken or the fried chicken wings. Once my order was wrong, with no questions asked it was fixed in less then 16 minutes. Once I had to wash my hands and the bathroom was spotless and seating area is always clean. I highly recommend this restaurant."
