"Definitely worth the trip, although not a 5 star. As everyone noted, this is CASH ONLY. Before 10pm, nearest ATM is 5-10 mins, after 10pm it's 10 mins so do bring enough cash for a good tip. We went without a booking at 9pm for 5 people. Indoors did have an excellent vibe but we were starving so were happy to sit in the outside covered section without waiting 40 mins. Even in December at 9 degrees (European) with the heater at the back it was definitely not even needed for jackets. Front of house is amazing, so friendly and chatty. As we were outside, getting attention or staff became tricky but everyone was very nice when we did. Despite it's reputation, we went for the garlic bread with homemade chilli oil, which is 100% a winner still sad we didn't buy any. Do save some if you get pasta to mop up the juices as it went so well with the lasagne. The cacio e Pepe with asparagus egg yolk went down very well, and the wine selection isn't outstanding but decent enough. We skipped dessert but everything looked great. I'd 100% recommend this as a safe, delicious, and fun bet for a group dinner. Would definitely go back."

This place is an awesome restaurant that serves up incredibly delicious portions of Italian food, old school service and a vibe that feels authentically warm and grand! Just wow!

Cash only, no reservations. This place is such a vibe. Great food, not at all rushed. We got pastas, a couple salads (radishes and butter which sounded weird and was weird), and garlic bread. And wine.

Likely the single best neighborhood restaurant experience available in all of New York City. Fantastic seasonal menu that’s always evolving to reflect what’s in season. Excellent service beautiful atmosphere! Visualizza piatti

A wonderful cash only spot. The pasta was really tasty and our waiter was attentive and helpful. As an aside, their old fashioned is non-traditional with smashed cherries. It was okay but not what I expected. I’d absolutely go back for their pasta and perhaps not their cocktails.

Great little Italian place in Brooklyn. It was recommended by a doorman and we loved it. Food and atmosphere were great. the service was a bit slow. They are a cash only establishment and they do not have an ATM inside. So bring . We will definitely eat there again when we visit next.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
