I totally stumbled on this place. If you miss old school southern fare , this is it. Cafeteria style service. The fried chicken , chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy all excellent. I will be back. Places like this are almost impossible to find, even in the GA TN mountains where I travel and live part time. Not very far off the highway either so it's an easy diversion Vegetarian options: If you are vegetarian you could make this place work. Not sure if they add ham and bacon flavor to sides though Kid-friendliness: Totally"

What a pleasant surprise a minute off of I-75 in Perry, GA. Food is served cafeteria style. The line is short and there are sufficient choices to please all but the most picky. The staff was helpful. Choose a table and enjoy your meal. Roaming servers will ask if you need anything including refilling your drink in an instant. The food was very good and the price was well worth it. It's always a guess where to stop to eat while traveling. The Oil Lamp Restaurant is a winner.
