"During my vacation, I made a reservation at Ore House for 5pm on a Friday. The staff was great and the restaurant was very clean. I especially enjoyed the cowboy atmosphere. The drinks were strong and delicious. We ordered the French dip with asparagus and baked potato, as well as the 8 oz prime rib cooked medium rare. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing - probably the best prime rib I've ever had. Our waiter, Nate, was fantastic. To top off our meal, we had the Mud Pie for dessert, which was a total must-have."

We absolutely adore the Ore House. The food is consistently excellent and the service is always top-notch. We especially appreciated being seated in the back since we had five children with us.

We loved the salad bar, our food was perfectly prepared our waiter(Grant) was very attentive, yet not intrusive. He made our experience PERFECT. We had an after dinner drink in the bar Bama made the most delicious Cosmo recommended the perfect wine. He was pleasant, friendly entertaining! We LOVED our experience there, we Will be back!

13 years since I was last at the Ore House and it hasn't really changed. It remains pretty solid.Salad bar is, well, a salad bar. Not particularly inspirational but fresh and salad like. Prime rib was absolutely out of this world. Chicken dish was only average as was pasta but as I told my wife and son, don't go to the ore house for chicken or pasta, go for prime rib or steak!

"Wow, they have a great location after events at Howelsen, but unfortunately their bartender/manager who calls himself Benjamin was very aggressive towards another party. It made us feel uncomfortable. Not a welcoming atmosphere, seemed the staff was stressed to serve instead of happy to serve. "Marcia and Joe’s is the definition of a hidden gem. Tucked into the back of The Press bar on Lincoln Ave are two true islanders making Jamaican food so bold and flavorful that it transported me, even while fitting right into the eclectic bar food culture that has been a part of Steamboat since I went to high school here, in the 90s. I am so glad I found this amazing food!As I write this, COVID is surging and businesses may have to lock down again. Marcia (Mar-see-ah, not Marsh-ah) greeted me with worried eyes as I walked in to the empty bar at opening time, but she followed with an easy laugh and she and Joe have a warm nature. You must support this business! This is perfect take out food! The delicious, spicy chicken, tangy chop salad, and fruity rice will make a perfect take out meal. The festivals, a fry bread that’s not unlike a donut, go with everything, as Marcia rightly advised. What a terrific place. Don’t let it slip away! Call ahead! Cater a Thanksgiving! Buy yourself Jerk for your socially distanced Christmas! This place is too good!"

"I dined at this restaurant on September 10, 2022. When we arrived, it was quite bustling on the main level, so we opted to explore the rooftop patio. To our delight, we essentially had the entire patio to ourselves on a Saturday night. The bartenders were outstanding, helping us navigate their extensive selection of beers on tap. As someone who enjoys IPAs, I was very pleased with their offerings, and there were plenty of other choices to satisfy everyone in our group. Storm Peak was the perfect way to wrap up our day in Steamboat!"

"This was our first time at Aurum so it 's possible we just hit an off night or the head chef was not in the kitchen. Nevertheless, here goes. No problems with the friendly, competent service (Dakota . No problems at all with the attractive riverside setting. The problems, unfortunately, were with the food. Not the crispy, tasty duck wings appetizer (at $5/wing they ought to be good! . However, our entrees were disappointing. The wife 's wild mushroom ravioli (not so sure the mushrooms were wild was, to be kind, meh. Served barely at room temperature, the pasta was insipid, overcooked and under seasoned. My coq au vin was equally uninspired. Although mostly dark meat, the also under seasoned chicken leg was tough and virtually tasteless. It would not be a surprise if it had been sitting for a long while in the kitchen, waiting to be reheated. The dark wine sauce and (farmed mushrooms accompanying the chicken were the only tasty things on the plate. With its pretty setting Aurum would be a good choice for drinks during their until 6:00 happy hour, with an order of duck wings to accompany your beverage. But for superior cooking Primrose is a better bet. Oh, and we could have done nicely without the loud piped in music blaring from the outdoor speakers."

"I friend back home recommended this place. We made reservations for a casual Christmas dinner. We had an awesome 2 top in the front window with all the Lincoln Ave decorations lit up! Great service and food, and we so appreciated it on Christmas after a day of skiing! Italian cream sodas were the bomb, the wedge salad and bread was a great start, our entrees were delicious, and we had coffee and a fudge brownie sundae for dessert. What a wonderful Christmas Dinner!! Thank you!"
