I visited this restaurant for the first time and the food was excellent. There were many options on the menu, and the banana pudding was delicious! Even better was the pancake I ordered, the "Crooked Pig". It was so delicious!

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The brisket really stood out to me, particularly the flavorful charred edges. While the ribs were a bit on the dry side for my liking and required more effort to eat off the bone, they were still enjoyable.

We were the only ones in the dining room. After 30 minutes I had to ask about our order while four workers played behind the counter knowing we had paid and unfortunately we had left a tip! Kicker was there was a supervisor sitting in the dining room giving them there individual reviews! She needed a review to pay attention to her surroundings. Food was ok. Nothing to get crazy about. I ate here on a trip to Houston recently and the quality of the food is amazing. Portions match the price very well. The menu looks pricey, but you get much more food than a typical BBQ chain.My only recommendation to the company would be to make your dine in more unique. The food is great, but the environment feels generic. There seems to be no specific theme to the restaurant as a whole, making it forgettable if you prefer to dine in.

This use to be our go to barbecue place, even when it was Luther’s BBQ; my question is what happened to the portion sizes?! I am highly disappointed with how things have been going with this establishment. We, as paying customers, spend lots of money to enjoy good bbq and the sides and your company has hoodwinked us with little to nothing in the portions. This is ridiculous to spend over $50-60 dollars and we are getting scraps. I most likely will have to find another place or location to go to which is unfortunate.

brisket kartoffel is a massive 8 to 10 inch full toppings covered in bbq. three diffrent sauces (sweet, expresso, and tangy senf) to complete their already seasoned to perfection food. the ribs were tender and had a big smoke ring. a good part and complement the entrée. the customers came to go constantly, and after their sign they have not changed this since 67. friendly staff and a super clean atmosphere. this is not a place to miss when they enjoy an eating coma, the taste and portion they have tried to clean their plate. So I love this Pappas BBQ! The food is ALWAYS good and fresh! There customer service and etiquette is great. I did have a small mishap with my order and the Manager Juan Mata(i think that’s his first name) was very apologetic and accommodating he went above and beyond to rectify it and that goes a long way!!! When you acknowledge it and then fix it! It makes the customer feel great when they feel heard and put first! Got a loyal repeat customer bc of this! Juan Mata needs to train others its very rare to come across this level of great customer service and etiquette!

I really love this restaurant and their BBQ, I truly do. I always look forward to indulging in a chicken sandwich from here. However, during my recent visit, I was disappointed to find a fly in my macaroni. I informed the cashier about it, and she instructed a young female coworker to discard it. The coworker appeared confused and stood there hesitantly, unsure of how to handle the situation. They asked me if there was anything else they could do for me. I expressed my concern about the cleanliness of the restaurant and the potential lack of adherence to health standards, despite being a fan of the place.

I recently moved to Houston and began eating at Pappas. I tried it a few times, but the service quickly was not the same each time after. A lot of fat meat on my potato. The last time I went there was March 14. The loaded brisket potato had no actual meat but a few nuggets of fat meat on there. The cheese was not melted as usual. The extras were thrown into the tray.I took the food back inside after examining for a refund because I was tired of them messing over my order. The manager on duty pretended to issue a refund of the $19.43. It has been well over the days for the refund to be issued to me.
