"The best part of our visit was reading the menu. The combinations of ingredients in the sandwiches were creative and enticing. The actual goods weren't as satisfying. Bread to filling ratio is off. Not enough filling not abundant like the photos. The condiments/spreads are applied too heavily, resulting in a gloppy eating experience, far from subtle on flavors. The end result after eating felt like a brick in the stomach. They got our order wrong one of the sandwiches was missing, and we couldn't tell if we were charged for it because we didn't receive an itemized receipt, just a credit card receipt. We tried several different sandwiches. The pork belly the most anticipated was the least satisfying. The meat was a combination of dry muscle and thick fat. The staff is friendly. The wait is long."

My husband and I were visiting my son who lives in Bend and happened upon Planker Sandwiches. The service was friendly and fast. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious. My son and I had the Italian which really thrilled the taste buds. My husband's pork belly was similar to a Cuban sandwich. I highly recommend this great, no frills sandwich shop in downtown!
