The food, service, and drinks were all excellent. The chicken and cornbread were both out of this world. I would definitely return, but unfortunately I live in California.

I had been eager to try this restaurant for some time, but kept delaying it. No more excuses - I will definitely be returning many more times! The food was outstanding! Everything we tried, from the shrimp and grit balls and crispy potatoes, to the red fish, was fantastic. And the cornbread is a must-try!

The decor was nice and inviting. I went for a birthday and the staff did a great job of making my friend and the remainder of our party feel special. The food was the star of the evening. The food was executed perfectly. I loved how the menu had southern favorites with specials twists to them. I would most definitely go back to this establishment.

Make sure to try the Cast Iron Cornbread, it's a must-share dish. The sweet potato butter and cranberry apple preserves really make it stand out. The Fried Shrimp Grits were delicious, especially with the jalapeno cheese flavored grits. For a vegetarian option, I suggest the Heirloom Tomato Salad. Been on our list of Top Chef restaurants to visit and finally got there. The service was great. Super friendly waitress with a good sense of humor. We had a seat close to the kitchen so could see all of the action. Chef Tiffany was not there but her business partner Tom stopped by our table and made us feel very welcomed. The food was outstanding. I wanted to pick up my plate and lick it. We had the Fried shrimp and Grits, a tomato salad that was so good, sea scallops with curry and Texas red fish. Everything was well seasoned and had a lot of flavor. We will for sure make the five hour drive back. Highly recommend.

Roots is singlehandedly the only reason people will go to Farmer's Branch. The duck fat fried chicken is sublime the crunchy batter is delicious, and the chicken is juicy. I've had this dish three times now, and some of the times are better than others, but all of the times are still delicious. The chicken is easily enough to share among four people. Recommend ordering a side of collard greens (for nutrition, but also for tastiness) as well as a side of their potatoes which are inexplicably addictive creamy on the inside, crisp on the outside. A friend and I tried this restaurant for the first time recently. I live in Frisco and had been to the food stall in Legacy West several times. I love the chicken tenders with honey mustard and the duck fat French fries. I've been following Tiffany since her appearance on Top Chef and couldn't wait to try this place.
