Was so pleased when we came across the new location in Colorado Mills. What a treat had a drip affagatto with el chupacabra ice cream (think Mexican hot chocolate). It was spicy rich and oh sooo good. Their ice cream is top notch with several amazing flavors. Will definitely be back!

Smith+Canon ice cream is among my favorite ice cream in Denver. It's incredibly fresh and creamy, and the flavors are really fun. Among my favorites are Christmas in My Mouth (accurately named) and Salted Caramel (which is wonderfully rich). The owner is also a delightful human who I love chatting with. The owner makes the ice cream himself, or so he says. Their butterbrickle flavor (if I got that right) was absolutely delicious! They also offer affogatos, which were amazing! The only downside is that their coffee isn’t great. I guess you shouldn’t expect good coffee from an ice cream shop—lesson learned! But their ice cream is definitely worth trying, so don’t miss out! The owner is really friendly and helpful too. Support this small business—you won’t regret tasting their delicious ice cream!

Smith+Canon Ice Cream is hands down the best ice cream in Lakewood, and quite possibly all of Colorado. This locally owned small business was named after the owner's young daughters, and he was incredibly kind and generous—offering plenty of free samples and patiently engaging with the kids. My children enjoyed the vanilla and cookies and cream flavors, while I indulged in the honey hotness, a remarkable Brazilian honey ice cream served over exquisite espresso. I highly recommend trying this unique treat; I hope it’s here to stay for many years to come!

A few years ago, I attended a class at Carpigiani Gelato University in Bologna, Italy, where I learned that true ice cream is denser, contains less air, and is served at a lower temperature. The texture of S+C Ice Cream perfectly captures that premium gelato experience. My personal favorite is the Foxy Brown (cheesecake), but I often find the Butterbrickle and Trialbar (black sesame) sold out as they only produce small daily batches. The owner greeted me with warmth, and as I sampled various flavors, each one was more delicious than the last, making my choice increasingly difficult. I only wish I had discovered this gem sooner—it's now my favorite ice cream shop. Stopped at the mall and found a gem with gourmet homemade ice cream . The owner was extremely pleasant , held good conversation and was extremely proud of his establishment. Offered us numerous tasting I think we may have tested everything on the menu . He was a great human with amazing customer service . The butterbrickle ice cream was simply amazing . YUM! If you're at Colorado Mills, definitely save your sweet tooth for Smith Canon! I'm not a huge mall girlie, but every once in a while, I hit the mall to get my steps in and to buy things I absolutely don't need. On this particular occasion, my man and I were at the end of our mall journey and wanted to grab a sweet treat before we left.
