Customer service was outstanding. The flat iron steak was a little under cooked to my definition of well-done, but still delicious. The fully loaded baked potato was amazing. The food is fantastic and there are good times to be had at this restaurant. The avant-garde keyboard player Moogyman made the evening even more interesting. Had lunch in there a while back it was slow service. Passing through, I stopped for a Coke to go. Expecting a regular price medium drink they gave me a bill for $4.50. The restaurant has recently revamped their menu. We decided to try some new dishes, opting for the chicken with rice and veggies as well as the steak pasta. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. The service was excellent as well. Overall, we highly recommend dining in for dinner at this establishment. I had a prime rib sandwich with a very large bun but no meat at all. There is a food truck in La Grande that sells a cheesesteak for $15 which has more meat than five sandwiches from Cove Steak House. It's a great option because I don't have to drive across the valley. Save your money and gas! The service was subpar, the meal was for lunch, and the price per person was $20-30. The food quality was rated a 1, service a 2, and atmosphere a 4.

We ordered a ribeye steak with a side of shrimp and a bacon-wrapped filet mignon. The salad arrived promptly, but we had to ask for utensils, as well as for salt and pepper. The salad itself was quite good. However, when our main courses arrived, the shrimp skewer was missing. My filet mignon, which I ordered medium rare, was cooked perfectly, but the ribeye, ordered medium, was undercooked. Although they offered to replace the steak, I declined, as the earlier issues had already affected the experience.
