"We had an excellent experience at the restaurant, with fantastic service and no wait for our early dinner, despite having a party of nine on a Saturday. The buy-one-get-one-free offer on Sangria was a highlight; we opted for the white over the red, and it was very refreshing. Every dish we tried was delicious. However, the prices felt a bit steep for the portion sizes, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars."

"My adult son and I went to Port St. Joe because we heard Joe Mama's was really good. First off, let me say the food is amazing. I will start with the praise. My son got the brisket sandwich and I got the fig pizza. Both were terrific. Everything else about the establishment was abysmal. Wait staff did not care about patrons. Very cramped dining area. We were seated next to the bar and if you raised your arm beside you, you could hit someone waking by it was so narrow. We asked about Wifi and they said it wasn't public as it was attached to the payment system. What? You are out in the middle of nowhere with terrible service and you don't even offer free wifi to the patrons? The whole place gives sundown town vibes and we will never, ever go back to PSJ"

"The atmosphere was wonderful, but unfortunately, a state event in town meant the restaurant was incredibly busy. We had to wait quite a while for our food, which was understandable given the large number of people. There were several mistakes with our orders, and unfortunately, we couldn't get them corrected; some items we ordered never made it to our table. If you need anything, it's best to ask for everything at once because you might not see the waitstaff again. However, the food itself was good and enjoyable. I would consider returning if I'm in the area again."

"Great passionate owner/cook. Fantastic food. We are going again for breakfast tomorrow. Edit: we went for breakfast again yesterday and then again today. 10/10 fully reccomended. One more Edit: a response to the owner: Thank you for your kind response, we really did enjoy it and if we are ever in Port St. Joe again we will *in bold letters* WILL be back. I told Alex y'all needed a second location at home where we are from, you'd put our local shrimp and grits to shame. Furthermore, I love the amount of care and passion that went into each entree, you could definitely see and taste that passion in your food. Edit: We were just in this weekend and again, great stuff! Scotty, we will be back toward the end of summer and be sure to greet you in person. I didn't see the response or I would have this time! I know you are busy so I try not to bother. Food is art, and art requires focus. :"

"Don?t look at the menu online before going or you will end up more disappointed than I was. I ordered the shrimp and grits, it was decent but not worth the money that it was. The pic I?ve included is of my husbands peel and eat shrimp that have less seasoning than when I buy them fresh at the grocery store. There was black pepper on a few of them. Just a few, so don?t get too excited over it. Drinks were ok, that was the best part. Except for the fact that we got passed over four or five times at the bar before we were acknowledged and at that point our table was ready. Speaking of which, we were never asked if we preferred inside or out, and when I asked for outside when we got to the hostess stand I was told it would be a longer wait than we had already waited. Service was ok, and by ok I mean ok. I?ve had better at a fast food place. Our waitress was at our table 3 times ordering, bringing our food and taking the check. My husband had to walk to the counter to ask for cocktail sauce. On that note, we paid for a meal that 100% was not worth the money we spent and are currently at another restaurant waiting for food because I?m still hungry. Oh the woman next to us has cold fries when they came out."
