"Truly a hidden gem in the Midwest. The price point and the quality of the food is out of the world. This place is so popular so there’s always a long wait. Come put your name down early in the day if you’re in the area, then come back at dinner time.I liked almost everything I ordered from them. The sushi are great, I do like the fish more than the wagyu. If you’re not early enough, they run out of a lot of options too. Yakitori wise I love the beef tongue and pork belly a lot, but not so much the short rib. The grill madai head is also really good and plenty of meat.I haven’t had a chance to try their omakase yet, since it’s a little hard to book, but their a la carte is already amazing."

"Date night Saturday night. Our reservation was for 7pm, but we were falling asleep, so luckily they were able to accommodate at 6:15. : Only a few tables were occupied. Tall ceilings, nice ambiance, would have maybe liked some additional lighting such as candle light (or faux candle light . The weather outside was lovely and they opened the doors which gave way to French doors with iron railing. they were pretty! Our server mentions that the menu changes pretty frequently so we may not see on the menu what we read online. Fine by me, as you know from my reviews, I 'm always up for a food adventure. I had a gin based cocktail which tasted balanced. Spring Mushroom Mousseline, Pistachio and Drunken Fruit with Date Pecan bread. Mousseline served in a glass votive like ramekin (much like you 'd see foie , was tasty, creamy, albeit a little gritty from the pistachios. The bread came like a small loaf, almost precut (could have been sliced all the way through , with macerated cherry/cranberry compote. For a vegetarian option like foie, we were pleased and ate the entire portion. Scotch Olives with Saffron Aioli. These olives were HOT. No joke. A bit of, could you please blow on this before I burn my tongue? But, they were briny on the inside, with a perfectly coated fried crunch outside, and so yum once the heat dissipated. Nice touch on the aioli. Only 4 of them unfortunately... that 's 2.25 each! Rosemary Grilled Lamb Chops with Seedy Broccolini Salad with Cherries. Wood grilled carrots and pomegranate molasses. $39. Nice presentation. Crunchy but soft carrots, broccolini cooked perfectly. Seemed a bit on the small side as far as meat goes. Two double lollipops. Cooked perfect, and beautiful gamey taste, just not too much bang for the buck. Grilled Sturgeon, warm rice salad, fiddlehead ferns, snap peas. Not a fan of the glaze ontop, the fish portion was fine, but lackluster. I 'm a huge sucker for fiddlehead ferns, and I also know that they can be overcooked within seconds, which these were just slightly overcooked, lacked the snap in your teeth you get from a bright green cooked correctly one. Oh well. With everything in one bite, it was good, just not amazing. We shared the Mexican hot chocolate warm brownie/cake in a cup. The foam was nice, but the inside really reminded me of a fudgy cake you can buy in the grocery store, add water, and nuke in the microwave. Next time, happy to go back just for drinks and apps. Skip the more expensive main courses on their menu."

"I am changing my review from 1 star to 5 because the service has returned to its former quality. They must have replaced that manager who was there before because we haven't had any issues since then. Keep up the great work! I truly enjoy Gino's pizza, so it was frustrating to leave my original review, but the service was simply unacceptable. We ordered a specialty pizza twice, and both times they got the order wrong. The second time, when we asked for a replacement pizza, the manager had the audacity to refuse! I've been a customer here for over 20 years, so it's hard to believe she said that. All I expected was for them to correct their mistake."

"Everything was OK but not much was really great. Overall it did not live up to our expectations. Food was good but not as good as we hoped. The veal, both filet and chop, was a bit tough and not as tasty as it should be. The chop was cooked medium even though I ordered medium rare. Service was adequate but didn't really check to see whether food was OK. Very limited selection of wines by the glass. Not bad, but not as good as we hoped from looking at the menu and the reviews."

"Excellent service and great food! I got the durty burger (bacon cheddar) and it was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and fairly priced. Others at my table got the fettuccine Alfredo daily special and the French dip. Both looked amazing and my family said they loved it. My only complaint at all would be the pricing of kids meals. I generally expect to pay in the $5 range kids and this was around $8. We ended up getting the two kids an appetizer to share instead. Overall it was excellent and I’ll definitely go back!"
