"Because it was Valentine’s Day and we arrived to a packed (but not too packed house, I expected to be late in getting seated. But we were seated on time if not early at a cozy table. All the staff were very pleasant. We started with an old fashioned and a Manhattan, both good — and quick! Then came a fresh, warm and crusty baguette and butter. Then we had potato leek soup, delicious, and a hearty salad with lots of good stuff (olives, chick peas, avocados, roasted leek, frisé . Jeanette, our server, was absolutely wonderful—quick, pleasant, witty and helpful. She made a perfect wine suggestion and because I couldn’t decide, I let her choose my entree — chicken cordon bleu. We also had chicken forestière. BOTH were plentiful and awesome. The cordon bleu had a perfect crust on the outside, tender and savory on the inside. The atmosphere was lively with nice music, but not too loud. An all-around perfect experience."

"Fantastic breakfast spot! I can't comment on the rest of the menu since we always come here for breakfast, but the service is exceptional and their breakfast deals are unbeatable. I always order the same meal because it's delicious and an incredible value! My husband has tried several different items, particularly loves their omelets, and everything we've had is excellent. This is our favorite place to go for breakfast, and we haven't discovered any local alternatives that come anywhere close!"

"We visit this restaurant roughly once a month, and the food consistently impresses us. This visit was no exception. Our server, Bryanna, was exceptionally friendly, and the restaurant manager took the time to personally check on us at our table. We all tried the red wine-braised short ribs, which were incredibly tender and complemented by a delicious red wine sauce. For dessert, we indulged in the house-made white chocolate truffles, which are undoubtedly my favorite treat. Thank you for a delightful evening!"

"What happened to Zias???? We were seated immediately. Bus boy brought us water and bread. And then we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally a bus boy asked if we wanted something else to drink besides water. Finally the server came (we assumed because she didn’t introduce herself or apologize for the delay) with our drink order. Asked us if we were ready to order, so we did. That was it for her. Bus boy brought us our dinner. We ate. I had to flag down the host to order another drink. Surprise the waitress dropped it off. She not once asked us how our meal was, if we needed anything, she was beyond awful. Very very disappointed in an establishment that we have dined at many times in the past. So in closing bill she got a tip for showing up. Bye Zias No more"

"In the past 6 months I’ve ordered from Blufish 7 times via Doordash. I’ve always had a good experience ordering mostly sushi items, specifically salmon. My usual tab is approx 150-200 so I’m ordering a good amount of sushi. I would say I’m a regular customer who understands the variability in quality of sushi from a low-budget Lawrence Fish market tray all the way to Michelin-level omakase. My last order here(7/12/24) included 15 pieces of salmon nigiri and other various salmon items. Upon delivery, all 5 of us eating the salmon items could not eat a single piece. Pieces were mushy, smelled off, and felt warm to the touch. Not edible. Our non-salmon items were all delicious. When I called Blufish to let them know, I was swiftly dismissed by the manager who told me no one else had any complaints, so there was nothing Blufish could do about it. Now, I don’t know if the salmon we got was old or subpar because it was a carryout order vs. dine in, but the utter lack of care to even validate my concerns or follow-up with the kitchen was disheartening and frankly pretty unprofessional. I am not a first time customer nor am I a serial complainer. This is the first time I had such an issue and I expected a lot more from Blufish. Too bad. For those of you looking to frequent an establishment that values your loyal patronage, find a different sushi spot that actually respects their clientele."
