"I was having an early Mothers Day dinner with my son (he lives out of town), and I was looking online for a seafood restaurant. I came to Coastal Crab Company’s website and the description and pictures of the food looked so inviting, I wanted to give it a try. However, when we were on our way, my son saw that they were close to closing time at 7 PM. This was a little bit after 6PM. I called and the gentleman I spoke to said that we could order takeout. We really wanted to have a sit down meal so we scrapped that and decided to go to another popular local restaurant down by the river. When we got there, they were completely full and it was an hour wait time. At that point my son said that we can just do takeout and go home and eat. So, I called back Coastal Crab Company and I spoke to young woman who was so friendly. I thought we only had 20 minutes to closing , so she said how far are you? I said we are 20 minutes away and she said to come on. When we got there, we weren’t quite sure of what we wanted to eat. Anyway, we parked and went in. We met this lovely young woman. Her name was Nya? I believe. She was awesome. She took our order and we decided to wait outside in the car. Her customer service was impeccable. She explained what was on the menu and she told us, and practically insured that we would love the food. Let me tell you it is some of the best seafood that I’ve had in a long time. It was fresh and well seasoned, and you can tell that they put love into each and everything that they cooked. I had the seafood platter, with grouper and shrimp with the seafood rice in a creole sauce. It was to die for. We also had the seafood stew and the seafood gumbo. Both were excellent. They have my vote! I believe that their food is not only excellent, but the customer service is impeccable. I would go back again and again, thank you for making my early Mother’s Day with my son! I will see you for my birthday and I will tell all of my family and friends. Thank you Coastal Crab Company!"

"We ordered through Door Dash twice, and unfortunately, the rolls were mostly just rice—almost to the point of feeling like a scam. I really love this place, but the sushi didn't live up to expectations those times. However, today was a completely different experience! Everything was exceptional! It felt like I was sitting at the sushi bar at home. I'm so glad they're back to doing things right, and I will definitely keep ordering from them."

"The food was not done well. The spinach artichoke dip was bland, not cheesy, and covered in bread crumbs. We wanted raw veggies instead of bread or chips and were told that was not possible. Almost everything we asked for was denied. Our steak was well-done in parts, and med-well in the very center. We asked for medium with char. They offered to remake the steak, but we have a personal issue with remade food. A place that serves steaks every hour of every day should not have to remake a steak. The blue cheese topping on the steak was the best part of the meal. The potatoes served with the salmon were inedible. They wouldn't substitute the potatoes for another side without charging an upcharge. Even though, on the menu, the two sides are the same price. The view was lovely. We told our server we didn't want bread, we are trying to reduce our bread consumption, but the salad came with croutons and thr spinach dip had a mountain of bread crumbs. It that just careless? It was such a disappointment. We wanted the happy hour menu but were told that wasn't an option, so we ordered from the early dining and regular menu. It was a frustrating, confusing, and disappointing dining experience. They took $10 off the overdone steak, but really. I regret eating here."

"We've been to YD several times over the years, but last week was the worst experience. My parent’s 66th anniversary was the celebration. The server congratulated me on my birthday, calling me another name, clearly mixing our table with another. I called to discuss the occasion when making reservations. Of the 7 of us, 5 did NOT like their food. Both 16oz steaks $58/order) were very undercooked. Duck was dried out/overcooked. 1/2 rack of lamb was a messily portion. What an overall let down considering the expense and reputation of YD. The server never came to check on us after food was served, until desert was offered. Granted she was busy. So we couldn’t send the steaks back to get properly cooked. Even the valet parking was messed up. When I got back in my 2024 BMW, the electronic dashboard configuration and drive mode was completely changed. Why the hell would they do that, unless playing around with it? There are too many REAL gourmet resteraunt around to try YD again. My $600 was about a complete waste, not to mention the damper pout on the parents celebration. The Dog is DEAD! Oh, the bread was great! $17 martinis good too, but could have bought an entire bottle for that price!"

"I read the reviews, and it feels like I had a meal from a completely different restaurant! My takeout was the best I've had in a long time. The fish basket was fantastic; the fish was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and fried! The potato salad and baked beans tasted just like my homemade versions, which is hard to find elsewhere. The beans were sweet with a hint of spice that I use but that no one else seems to replicate, and the potato salad was just as delicious! While the mac and cheese and fries don't require complex techniques, they were prepared exactly the way I like them! Overall, this was truly the best takeout I've experienced in years, and I can't wait to order from them again in the future!"
