"I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! We tried the fried shrimp, oysters, alligator bites, boudin balls, and calamari, and everything was fantastic. It can be challenging to get fried seafood just right, but they nailed it. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience. The atmosphere was charming as well; the main restaurant is shaped like a boat, and we enjoyed our meal on the covered terrace outdoors. The only minor issue was that one or two oysters out of the four dozen we ordered needed to be addressed. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you love seafood!"

Know what to expect when you order . This is a place for fried seafood- not expensive grilled fish dishes. Seating outside under cabanas. That being said, the fried shrimp are great. Cornmeal batter. Like 15$ and doesn't disappoint.

So this place has been here for many years since I could never remember that I had the experience we had today. My boss invites my employees and me today since we cleaned the office. We ate first then we started to drink well, not I drink 2 out of 3 of us and at the fifth Michaelada with Dos X they told my boss that 5 was the border. When are there people who drank so much more?.

The seafood here was fresh and expertly prepared. We enjoyed sitting outside under the palapa on a lovely afternoon. We shared the crab claws, which were fried in a garlic butter sauce. They were delicious, though I wished there were more claws and even more garlic! Next, we split a generously-sized fried flounder, which was perfectly cooked with a light cornmeal batter—not overcooked at all. We requested plenty of fresh lemon to squeeze over the fish, and it came with cocktail and tartar sauce. As sides, we had a crispy slice of garlic bread, two hush puppies, and coleslaw.

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
