The Original Pancake House

OPH is my absolute favorite breakfast spot in the entire country. I adore their waffles; they're simply the best! Their pancakes are heavenly, especially the chocolate chip pancakes.

Beware eating here will ruin breakfast for you forever. From now on you will say, ' Yea, it 's good but it ain’t The OP. ' Services excellent. Food OMG. Price about 25$ with tip per person, and worth every penny.

If you want an original pancake, this is the place for you and your family. Buttermilk pancakes, omelettes, bacons, avocado on rich bread, and cannot forget the sweet tea with lemonade. I recommend this place if you are in Dallas, Texas. The service was friendly and helpful. Visualizza piatti

I had a delightful breakfast here. The wait time was 15 minutes at 11:00 AM on a Saturday. The coffee was excellent—simple but really good, especially with cream and maple syrup for sweetness. Suzanne ordered the 2x2x2, and I went for the Bacon Steak. Both dishes were delicious!

I often find myself dreaming about the Dutch Baby from this restaurant – it’s simply fantastic! My most recent server, Missy, was incredible. She patiently guided my friend, who was new to the menu, and was very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We can’t wait to come back!

The menu offers a wide variety of pancakes, along with waffles, omelets, and other breakfast favorites. I tried the original pancakes topped with strawberries. I was pleased with the generous amount of strawberries, but the pancakes themselves were just average—perhaps I expected more. However, others in my group enjoyed their meals. Such an awesome place! Very personable, prompt service and friendly family environment, not to mention AMAZINGLY YUMMY food! Instantly we were greeted by Chelsea, an upbeat fun woman who set a great tone for our visit and even offered to refill our kids chocolate milk at one point when she noticed they were empty (our waitress was busy at the time and my kids also sucked them down so quick ! Our waitress was Sandra, super sweet and attentive, hope we get her again! The GM Carlos made rounds to every table making sure all was well and refilled our coffee! We will definitely be making this place our new breakfast spot above all others!!!

We often visit for breakfast, and the adults' favorite is the Apple Pancake, which we share, along with a side of AMAZING bacon! Their bacon strips are nearly perfect—straight and slightly chewy thanks to being thick-cut, without any dryness or crumbliness. The coffee is a bit stronger than I prefer, as I only drink it occasionally, but it’s easy to dilute; regular coffee drinkers will likely enjoy it. The service at this location has consistently been excellent. Only once did I have to ask twice for something, and that was on a particularly busy day, so I give them a pass for that. Came here on a Sunday morning around 11:00 and ended up waiting about 35 minutes to be seated for a party of 2. There seem to be a lot of open tables however, people weren’t being seated. I ordered the Swedish crepes and husband ordered the Greek omelette with pancakes. Our food literally almost took another 30 minutes to come out. The crepes I ordered were inedible! I wanted to order a latte but was told some long story about how they don’t make their coffees here or something strange that I just couldn’t understand.
