excellent eating. the choices were extensive and eating felt increased. we ate all our meals in the restaurant.

Service was slower than usual. They are normally very good with that. Not sure if they were short staffed or what was going on.

Sadly, we wanted this dinner to be nice. Starter courses came after main plates. Ribs seemed have been steamed or boiled. Server wasn’t concerned with how everything seemed wrong. We have tried to like this place, but it is dead to us now.

I have a lot of trouble finding restaurants that I feel safe eating at with celiac disease. I was glad to see a we accommodate allergies type statement on their menu. It probably depends on the dish, but I was able to find a couple things here to eat since we had a fantastic server (Kevin, I think; we were there on 10/01/2021) who checked directly with the chef whenever I had a question about the food prep process for my safety. He was super nice and took my medical need seriously. Food was delicious too!

Here for my birthday. Unfortunately the impending snow storm put a slight damper on things. Enjoyed the pre dinner drinks in front of the fire. We were told we’d have to sit in the bar area since they weren’t expecting too many people because of the weather. As it turned out more people arrived and were seated out in the dining room after all. The oysters were great as was the oyster stew and hushpuppies. No duck confit sliders so we opted for the substitute which was beef. They were ok. Crème brí»lée was nice. Service was satisfactory not bad but not great either. quite overpriced for what they get. that is great, and that is moderate. my wife and I ordered the cream of crab suppe, bacon cheddar hushpuppies and the oyster po’boy with salad side. the suppe had quite good taste, and it had a lot of what was definitiw reale crab. I know, because there were so many bowls in the suppe, I had to first test every bit with my tongue. concerning the hushpuppies, they were quite good, but I was a little surprised at the great pieces of mais and the dryness of the teigs (they were very crumb). it is not necessarily a bad thing, but something you have to consider when ordering. concerning the po’boy, it had quite good taste and I probably enjoyed it most. my main...

Today I came to ticklers for the first time since it was renamed to Mother's Day. I was really excited. the prospects are great! but I was very disdained with eating. eating looked very good when it was served. I ordered the charalat and the stonefish. We have had a vacation home on Tilghman for 11 years. Since the Wylder has been remodeled we have not been to the restaurant. Starting with the general remodel and the understated holiday decorations let us just say; bravo. They did a fantastic job revitalizing this historic property that is so iconic here. From the refurbished floors to the understated holiday decor the whole place is had a laid back yet elegant Christmas vibe. Tilghman chic at its best!
