Fabulous place with the finest gourmet food around. The staff is very attentive and makes the experience much better because of it. It is truly the kind of place you want to keep secret and all to yourself.

Was down for the Eldora race and decided to stop in. Great old place with amazing food, drinks and good service. We feel this was one of the best meals we had in many years, we are well traveled and eat out most nights of the week. This is now a must stop for us View menu

I had a wonderful experience at 17 West in New Bremen, Ohio. While visiting from Colorado, my sister, who lives just a block away, brought me here for lunch. We received a warm welcome, and the service was both prompt and friendly. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I will certainly return on my next trip to Ohio.

Great food! We ordered the lobster corn fritters for an appetizer. They were delicious! Also had the crab cake BLT with fries. The crab cake is spicy, but very good. The fries were perfect! We also split the brownie dessert...amazing. They have a large bar of beers, wines and other liquors. Overall, the food was fantastic! Definitely a new favorite eating spot. View menu

My wife and I enjoyed an early dinner on Wednesday. The restaurant was impeccably clean and well-kept. Our server attended to us right away and was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. My wife ordered the shepherd's pie and declared it the best she’s ever had. I opted for the garden Alfredo, which featured perfectly cooked pasta and a light, complementary sauce, unlike many heavy Alfredo sauces. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the experience and our delicious meals. This is not a chain restaurant experience; it's a beautifully crafted meal in a wonderful setting with outstanding service—one of the best I’ve encountered in a long time. You won’t be disappointed.

UPDATE: We were so happy that 17 West brought back their signature steaks. We returned and had one of the best meals we have had....anywhere, and we live in DC, where the choices are plentiful. The veal chop and ribeye are second to none, as are all the sides. Waitress was a delight, and the cocktails are always made to perfection. Truly one of our favorite places that we visit, and we've traveled the entire country!! QWe were really looking forward to stopping in at our favorite small town restaurant, but were so very disappointed when we learned the menu changed, and no longer offered the best steaks.
