"Terranova bakery is a 'must stop ' for your 187th Street Arthur Avenue tour! I 've been going there for over 30 years and LOVE them. They have a variety of freshly made bread products, all of which will keep you coming back for years. The staff is warm and friendly, always greeting you with that calm smile no matter how crowded the store may be. They also have fresh frozen home made pasta products which are also unsurpassed. I LOVE their ravioli. The filling is rich and creamy (some tend to be more cottage cheese like consistency) and they are shaped round, which makes them easier to handle IMHO. Remember to buy some extra bread sticks for the ride home!"

"This is a relatively new restaurant that has been open for about one or two months, and let me tell you, dining here is amazing. The pasta dishes are all made with fresh ingredients that are personally selected by the owners every morning. They also import various products directly from Italy. There is no freezer on-site to ensure that we receive the best quality ingredients. Many people may say "freshly frozen," but frozen and fresh do not go hand in hand; here, everything is truly fresh. The staff creates a warm, welcoming, and family-oriented atmosphere. Many have already praised this restaurant, and I will also echo that sentiment. I can't wait to visit again and will make it a point to come here as often as possible. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience authentic and delicious Italian cuisine."

"The Wonton in Chicken Soup was excellent; the dumplings had a nice thin wrap. I only wish there had been more than six in an order. The Szechuan Braised Beef Noodle was perfectly seasoned. The Beef Tripe Hot Pot Noodle was a bit spicy for my taste, but my daughter loved it and was relieved she didn’t opt for the extra spicy version. The Braised Pork Rice Bowl also tasted fantastic. I will definitely order from here again!"

"Staff was very kind and the food was great.Had a small iced coffee and the peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole wheat (I can’t remember the name that was on the menu) and it was the perfect breakfast.The sandwich is super filling, could easily be split between 2 people. And again, the staff was incredibly kind and enjoyable to be around. "If you've ever wondered what the old newsstands and luncheonettes in New York were like, this is the place to experience it. A wave of nostalgia hit me when I spotted the old dark blue-painted newsstand under the register, and there’s even a faint scent of newsprint lingering in the air. Their breakfasts are absolutely fantastic—it's one of the last spots in New York where you can get a proper bacon and eggs meal, not that beef bacon stuff (I know there are more, but 95% of bodegas have stopped serving pork). While their other dishes are also great, I live for their incredible bacon and egg sandwich. If you're ever in the area, the staff is super nice, friendly, and helpful, and they’re solid cooks to boot. Plus, if you become a regular, they’ll remember your order after just a few visits!"
