"We were very disappointed, it was a brunch( which we didn’t know when we made the reservation. We were there at our reservation time and got in line. There was not many choices, the food was almost gone, only a green salad that was gone and all toppings were gone. Just turkey for the meat . The potato’s were nearly gone, you had to scrape the bottom of the pan for the gravy, the dressing was mostly dried bread crumbs, the rolls were cold and were like the brown and serve you buy at the store. The food was barely warm. The dessert was about an 1 1/2” slice of pumpkin pie. No variety. We paid $50.00 each for this!! I would never go there again!! Completely disappointing. We were looking forward to going to this historic manor, I had worked there as a teenager and loved it. These new owners will not last! Sad !"

It might have been a nice place to visit, but when we arrived, we found it was closed and no longer in operation.

Reservation was canceled by Amadeus after we had received a confirmation. They closed restaurant for Thanksgiving prep. Not very coordinated.

It seems that Amadeus is closed. I received an email recommending OpenTable on December 24th, so this restaurant should be removed from their website. View menu

how and why did open table confirm a reservation in a restaurant that didn't work? this place was closed with no trespassing sign posted. I will never be able to leave open table again.

Apparently they have closed. We had reservations for dinner at this resturant for months. On Dec 9th we arrived to find a chain blocking the entrance. No notice and out of town friends, a very embarrassing experience.

Well first time I had a reservation for dinner they cancelled it on me that night. Then we made a reservation online for brunch at 10am Sunday. Showed up at 10am and nobody was there. Do not trespass signs were up. Pretty disappointed again. View menu

We went for Thanksgiving. Restaurant was totally overwhelmed. What little staff we could identifydid not engage with or help customers whatsoever. Buffet style arrangement was flawed. Many stations out of food, including turkey. Wine bottles on common table were empty. After sitting at a table for 10-15 minutes with no communication by staff, we walked out. No one noticed or cared. Everyone was stressed- nobody seemed to be having a good time.

We made a reservation through OpenTable for a Wednesday evening to celebrate our anniversary. We traveled quite a distance in hopes of enjoying a lovely evening with good food. However, upon arriving 15 minutes before our reservation, we found the restaurant closed, with no cars in the parking lot. We attempted to call multiple times without any response, and despite emailing them four days ago, we've yet to receive a reply. Their voicemail doesn't even specify their hours. We’re baffled as to why we were able to reserve a table when the restaurant was closed, and we are thoroughly disappointed. We’re unsure whether to blame the reservation service or the restaurant's poor communication, but...

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
