This is the best Neapolitan pizza around in my opinion. Great team, small family run and locally owned. Great local beers on tap. Generally probably the best place to eat in Waterloo.

The best pizza in the Cedar Valley! Our current favorite is the Angelo Detroit pizza.It is so nice to have them in downtown Waterloo!They have options for vegetarians and vegans. Highly recommend!

Amazing wood fired Neapolitan pizza! The atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend for a great pizza. Kid-friendliness: They had games and books to play with and pass the time. The staff were great with our children during our visit!

Our waitress did not have great customer service, the woman who served our pizza stopped midway (with hot pizza in her hand to pick up a toddler (huge safety risk! , we constantly had to remind them that we needed refills of our water. We will not come back. Pizza was the only good thing and we’ve still had better.

The brick oven pizza here is quite good, though the selection is limited to just a few options: deep dish or hand-tossed. The hand-tossed pizzas are 10 inches, while the deep dish is large enough to serve two. The bar menu is also quite restricted, featuring only a few choices—tall boys, standard vodka, rail whiskey, rail rum, water, and canned soda. What a great date-night spot! Basal's food never disappoints, either. Everything is made with quality ingredients and great technique. The true sourdough Neapolitan pizzas are delicately dressed, rustic, and delicious. The new Detroit pizzas steal the show with a blend of great cheeses and top-tier ingredients. The new, simplified menu allows for a focus on a few other really great items, like the wings, shrimp and pesto, and of course a thoughtfully-created charcuterie board with FRESH BAKED BREAD. So good.

This place and the patrons are the absolute best. I showed up 20 min before close, (totally my fault. . Turns out they were sold out of the Neapolitan style. A extremely nice couple down the bar from me basically forced me to take the pizza that they had been waiting for. It turned out to be one of the best pizza’s and the best experiences I’ve ever had. I am truly humbled by their generosity. The owner and her daughter are also extremely nice. They run a great establishment. 10 outta 10 and I don’t throw that around easily. I can’t wait to come back someday.

I have NEVER in my life tasted and enjoyed pizza so delicious I could cry. The margarita pizza? Oh my God? It’s amazing. It’s magic how good they make that pizza, they also had a chicken parm sandwich that I didn’t see on the menu last time I ordered, but it was also AH-MAZING.I thought I’d even go to Chicago to try to get the same taste of the Marg Pizza and nothing beats it. I hope this place stays here, this is REAL food. Great even. I wish they were open more than 4 days a week because I always happen to remember and crave this place on the wrong days.. But no real complaints. This place is more than perfect. View menu
