"We've been meaning to check Bonsai Wok out, but have never got around to it. Happily we gave it a chance and no disappointment at all. The service was fabulous. No wait and our meal was made very quickly. My son declared it's his new favorite place to eat at. I wish I had taken more photos of the interior. The entire restaurant was clean and tidy with a large bookcase with a lot of book choices for reading. The walls were filled with local artwork for sale. I'd love to come back in a few months to see if this is something they do all year long, or just during the holiday season. As we were eating our food the entire Olympia High School basketball team came in, and the staff tackled all of them with ease and quick service. If they were overwhelmed it didn't show for a moment. We will come back for sure and recommend giving them a shot if you've never been in before."

We visited Bonsai Wok Teriyaki for a quick dinner, and it turned out to be unexpectedly outstanding! The service, menu, and wait time were all fantastic!

This is one of our favorite places. The food is always excellent. It's always hot and quick. The staff always welcoming. They made the best salad dressing. View menu

My wife and I tried the Chicken and Gyoza at Bonsai Wok Teriyaki. The Gyoza was fantastic, possibly the best I've ever tasted—crispy on the outside and warm and flavorful on the inside. The dressing for the side salad was also delightful. Unfortunately, the chicken was a disappointment. It was dry and tough, resembling jerky more than teriyaki chicken. View menu

I recently dined at Bonsai Wok Teriyaki for lunch and dinner and, having visited before, I knew to expect large portion sizes. I ended up eating half of my meal for lunch and saved the remainder for dinner. The prices are in line with other teriyaki places in the area. There is a slight language barrier that can make service a bit tricky. The food is quite good, similar to what you’d find at most restaurants, but the portion sizes are truly impressive. I ordered the Mongolian beef, and as shown in the picture, my plate was piled high with beef!

Thru door dash I ordered the Californian roll, egg rolls, and an orange chicken/broccoli and beef plate. I mistakenly assumed that the plate would include a small salad and paid for extra dressing that I did not receive. The egg roll is the best I’ve ever had and the steamed rice tastes “clean” and is cooked perfectly. The California roll was warm, had the SMALLEST smear of wasabi (I would’ve liked more) and no ginger, which is my favorite part. The orange chicken has good flavor, but no spice and sort of mushy. The broccoli beef is very soupy and the texture of the thin breading on the beef is just mush. I’d recommend the egg rolls and steamed rice. The other dishes are probably better else...
