"This was our first visit to The Kennedy, and it will not be our last. The entire experience was excellent, from the service provided by our server, Chelsea, to the delicious food and quaint ambiance. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which she stated was some the best she has tasted. I was a bit more adventurous with the Pork Shank. I was not at all disappointed! The meat was fall off the bone tender and well accompanied by the hoisin sauce. The sides of rice and pickled vegetables salad nicely completed the meat. Great food and an excellent dining experience."

"Really cool building. Our server Mackenzie saved the day, more about that later. Met friends there, Open Table got us in and to our table. The Brussels sprouts/kale appetizer was delicious. The cranberry pear salad was lovely. The risotto was sooo salty even my salt loving wife had to send it back. Next round was better but please don’t grab the salt shaker without tasting this dish. The Banana Crème cheesecake was simply divine! Now how Mackenzie saved the day, I must’ve covered up my wallet with my table napkin while signing the bill. When I went to the men’s room to wash my hands I realized my wallet wasn’t in my pocket. Our group had already left to the parking lot so as I walked back to the table I glimpsed our server rushing through the patio section heading to the parking lot with my wallet in hand. She caught up to my wife and friends letting them know she had my wallet which she found under the napkin clearing the table. Needless to say….THANK YOU MACKENZIE!!!"

"Great experience and food. The waitress was very attentive and had many suggestions and answered our questions since it was our first time. We told them we were celebrating an anniversary so they brought us a glass of champagne for a toast which was a great way to start off! We began with the She Crab soup and Grilled oysters and they were great! My wife and I both chose the surf and turf for our main course and we were not disappointed! The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the asparagus was cooked Al dente like I like it (my wife prefers more cooked but it’s a preference, lol). The chef stopped by the table only a couple of bites in to ask how our meal was which was pretty nice too! We finished off with dessert and since we couldn’t make up our minds, we had Crème brûlée and bread pudding. Both were fantastic! Because we were seated in a room with no view (only downside), we moved out on the patio for after dinner drinks and were able to sit alone and catch some pretty amazing sunset pictures. Overall, the experience was great and the food was fantastic. It is a little pricey, but for the name and location, that is to be expected. We would certainly go back again!"

"Me, my sister and my niece decided to go into Spartanburg to do some grocery shopping and grab breakfast after church. After an online search, we decided on Initial Q. It was a lovely, sunny day so we opted to sit outside, which was delightfully comfortable in the shade and with an umbrella as extra sun protection. The service was excellent (our waitress was something like Seeyarah; please excuse misspelling . We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My niece and I had the brisket Benedict, although hers was as stated with the potatoes as her side, which she said were crunchy and well seasoned. I’m doing an elimination diet with no sugar and empty carbs so had mine without the biscuits and enjoyed bacon as my side. (Super easy to customize my order; and the herbed hollandaise was excellent. My sister had the Piggie Pancakes and said they might be the best pancakes she’s ever eaten, so soft and fluffy, and the pork was tender and delicious. We liked that carafes were left on the table so we could replenish our own water when needed. They both had coffee drinks that they enjoyed. Overall, very nice experience and we’re already talking about going back."

"We really enjoyed dining outside under an umbrella on the sidewalk (my wife absolutely loved it), although they also have casual seating indoors. The waiter was friendly and provided helpful suggestions for our meal choices. Every dish we tried was exceptional. Initially, I planned to order pho, but once I saw the extensive menu, I changed my mind. The egg rolls were incredibly delicious—perhaps the best in the area. They are made in-house and served hot, with crispy wraps that aren't overcooked—four large egg rolls accompanied by a generous bowl of sweet chili dipping sauce. Make sure to order the egg rolls no matter what you decide! I had the Glass Noodle Stir Fry with pork and vegetables, which was fresh and flavorful—I'd definitely order it again if I didn't find the Lemongrass menu so enticing with its many options. My wife had stir-fried rice with pork, tomatoes, and cucumber, and it was equally delicious. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Dining on the sidewalk was a fun addition to the experience. Overall, we loved it!"
