"First time my husband and I were here. The history of the place drew us here and that part did not disappoint. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time to enjoy a drink at the bar. The bar staff was accommodating and friendly and the entertainer was great. We sat down right at our reservation time and that is where it went downhill. There was a fair amount of people there, but by far not full. We waited about 15 minutes before the waitress came. She did not introduce herself and we put our drink and food order right in. We understand that staffing is tight, but she never checked in with us, never asked how things were, never apologized for the wait, and never asked if she could get us anything else. We waited a very long time between courses. We did not get our entrée until two hours later. The waiter on the other tables checked on his patrons frequently and was accommodating to their needs in a timely fashion. The food I would say was fair, but if our waitress would have taken care of us as she should have it would have been a much better experience. For the price of the food I expect better service. I always tip over 20% when the staff is friendly, accommodating, and seen being busy. This waitress we could never find and she never checked in on us. I was embarrassed to leave her 10% on the bill, but it was just that bad."

"I Love coming here when I’m up from down south, but thought it was terrible that spent $84 for my self to eat! They did not offer a salad with my meal that was already $39. I had to pay an extra $6 and it a poor salad. Not even good greens and had nothing but tiny piece of chopped tomatoes and very tiny croutons. I run a supper club and we never charge extra for a salad with a Sat night or any night for that matter dinner. $13 for a dessert. They gave me that to go as I requested and I received a very small corner piece that was hard, I left a $16 tip as our waitress was wonderful. Food was good except for salad and dessert. My friends had a big meal and bill also and no soup was offered with the meal either, and had to pay extra for that too. I don’t understand what is going on there. I’ve never been to a supper club anywhere where you didn’t get your choice of a super salad with a meal? Because of this, I don’t think we will be back if I’m going out to dinner I want my full dinner and I want everything included."

"Every time I am at the cabin we visit! Been visiting since I can remember and they always have a chefs creation which we love! Love everything on their menu and their view is gorgeous. Love their staff have a mojito they grow their own mint and they are to die for! Also, their salad cart has the best bleu cheese I have ever had and it’s so fun choosing the ingredients. The Cajun Ramulade is the best also we always buy a bottle so we have some for Christmas with crackers or shrimp. They have a unique soup which is chilled Strawberry Rhubarb and we love ordering that every time since no where else have I seen this. Their cook book is amazing to purchase as well. This is a fancy restaurant so we always dress up and love it since we wear flannels and jeans all the time to keep the mosquitoes out. Hoping to have my reception there in 2025 to see Pam my friend and the best staff you will ever meet works there!!! Love love love the memories and the dining experience. Nothing is like this gem! Can’t wait to go in August!!! "We stopped by for lunch last Friday, and it was really enjoyable. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger, and it surpassed my expectations. The homemade chips I chose as my side were also delicious. For an appetizer, we tried the fried pickles, and my only minor issue was that they were a bit salty. However, once we dipped them in the accompanying sauce, the saltiness didn’t stand out as much. They were still very tasty. I’m already looking forward to my next visit for another burger. On a side note, I appreciated the bathroom—I'm usually not a fan of public restrooms, but this one was spacious and clean, and I thought the amenities on the counter were a nice detail."

"I thought it was not organized. Out of a entree, dessert was still being made and could not order. Salad was given to wrong person. Waiter did not know who had what without asking. Very unorganized. Steak was supposed to be medium and it was well done. We were seated in banquet area and the ambience was lacking on that side. Big disappointment."
