I always order the carne asada burrito and it's always phenomenal. The cotilla cheese and fresh, flavorful salsa, as well as the quality of the rice and tortilla, sets it apart. This is the best taqueria in the Treasure Valley that I've eaten at.

The food was amazing, and they have a self-serve bar for your tacos, allowing you to customize them with your favorite toppings. They offer a wide variety of Mexican spices and dishes, as well as a butcher shop. It's definitely one of my top places to get tacos!

Very friendly staff and good selection of products. I have also tried their food including an al pastor torta , a taco de tripa and al pastor taco. Finally tried this place for the first time today. Wish we hadn't waited do long. Everything was so good. There was a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected when you're serving awesome food! They were pretty packed, but it was well worth the wait. Will definitely be back especially since we luckily only live a few minutes away.

Carniceria Coalcoman is one of the few truly authentic Mexican restaurants in Boise. They have an attached shop with genuine products and imports. It seems to be a family-run business. Be sure not to overlook the pre-prepared foods section further inside. The prices and portion sizes are fantastic! This isn’t just Tex-Mex; the food reflects a regional Mexican style that I’ve come to love from my experiences eating in and around Mexico. It’s one of my favorite places to dine, and I always bring my friends here to introduce them to real Mexican cuisine.

I usually hesitate to share my hidden gems because they're so fantastic and often overlooked. However, I have to mention Carniceria Coalcoman. Last week, I picked up an Uber Eats order for a customer and decided to grab some food for myself. I made a promise to return, and today I rode my bike over and enjoyed four incredible carne asada tacos! Having just returned from Mexico in early March, I've been longing for an authentic taco experience. The service was also exceptional, with a big smile to match!
