"The vibe and the people are great; if the food were on par, this place would be 5-stars. I knew it was diner food going into it, so I wasn’t expecting to have my socks knocked off or anything. When I asked for a recommendation, I was told the Crab Benedict was a solid choice. What I got was a bland and chewy lump of crab meat covered in an equally flavorless and unappealing hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were partially burnt and way over-peppered and had a rather unpleasant aftertaste. Set your expectations low for the food, then go a notch or two lower, and you’ll have a great time at Chick Ruth’s. I wish I could’ve hung out with the staff all day and watch as they engage with the locals and each other."

Stopped in Chick and Ruth's for a Reuben and some onion rings. Corned beef was great but onion rings were a bit overdone. Service was outstanding. The place isn't much to look at but it's an Annapolis Institution and the aesthetic is part of its charm.
