Chicken Express - Menu

Giving three since it was my first time using them. Excellent mash patatos!!! Much needed after my ordeal from the day. Very please with the food. Might not go back due to location of where I live Amarillo.

This location used to be a great choice but it sadly has lost all that it had going for it. Service was terrible. Food was ok. Waited forever for our food. Prices are just ridiculous. Also, the lobby was a mess. Most tables were dirty.

The chicken tenders was good and so was the fish fillet. The thing that got me the most was cleaniness of the floors and they leave food on the floor where the food is at. It also surprises me that none of them are wearing hair nets especially when they are handling are food and etc. View menu

12:30 on a Sunday Labor day weekend and they have NO bone in chicken. Literal half hour wait we were told. At lunch time. On a busy weekend. How do you not cook enough prior to that? Do you cook ALL chicken to order? Is the concept of fast-food toocomplicated for this establishment? If there was anyone running this circus they need to be taught how to prepare for the lunchrush. This chicken E was peerless a few years ago but it's gone straight to hell.

I visited the restaurant on a busy Sunday during a holiday weekend, and I was disappointed to find that there was no bone-in chicken available. We waited for half an hour for our lunch, which is unacceptable for a fast-food place on a weekend. Do they really cook all the chicken to order? It seems like basic preparation for a lunch rush is a struggle for this place. A few years ago, their chicken was exceptional, but it has since declined significantly.

Update: Me: How much ice could you put into a drink? Chicken Express: Yes! Don't know why but the quality has gone downhill since I've started coming here 5 years ago. Don't know if I should feel lucky that my orders never get mixed up and were always quickly served. There are only two types of chicken here that I think are on point; spicy tenders and hot wings. Others main items on the menu are not that good comparing to other chicken places. However, their sides and sweet tea are good. I've so far tried fries, corn nuggets, coleslaw, and cheese sticks. Terrible service. Unbelievable. Cashiers who in any case wanted not to be there and did not listen to order and had to be repeated three times. Besides, tried to free us not to order because it 'take a while'. We ordered, but they put everything in boxes. Remembered workers that it was in for Din and workers just said okay and went on. Has not been offered, plates as are normally served. The tables were all dirty with garbage cans. Anyway, it won't be back for a while. P.S. it takes a lot for me to believe service terrible because I have also been in the restaurant industry and very understanding

Only reason this is getting 1 star is bc the sweet tea is always on point. Besides that, I just ordered a spicy #1 and the chicken was inedible and the mashed potatoes were like paste. There was barely any chicken in the breading, and what little chicken was there seemed like eating jerky from sitting under the heat lamp all day. If you can manage to make other things to order, chicken should be the biggest since the word is in the name of the store. Chicken Express has always been my favorite place to get chicken since I moved to the area bc other places always serve theirs this way. This was a first... not happy spending $10 on something I couldn't eat..

Reminded worker that it was for dine in and worker just said okayand walked on. Didn 't offer to get plates like it would normally be served on. The tables were also all filthy with trash cansoverflowing. Definitely will not be back for a while.
