"Common Sage is a local Japanese restaurant in my neighborhood. It used to be a convenience store but was recently transformed into a Japanese ramen and rice ball shop. I tried the CS Miso Ramen and was impressed by the tender noodles, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of elasticity. The dish also included 2 slices of chasu, green onions, and bean sprouts. The container was very unique and cool - the tray on top holds the noodles and toppings, while the hot broth below keeps everything warm and steaming. Overall, the ramen was delicious and I will definitely be back to try the custom order rice balls next time. It's a great option for a savory snack or meal on the go, or to enjoy while relaxing at nearby wine bars."

Wanted vegan ramen, but the noodles have egg. They have vegan omusubi, which are good, but it’s a little too much seaweed for me. Im mostly disappointed they didn’t have vegan ramen.

searched vegan ramen, but the nuds have an egg. They have vegan omusubi that are good, but it is a little too much seaweed for me. I'm usually disappointed that they didn't have vegan rams.

This is a fantastic place to grab a quick meal. I always come here, especially when the weather is nice, for the miso ramen and a beer. They offer a great selection of drinks, plenty of snacks, and the miso broth is consistently delicious. View menu

I stopped a few vegan smokers here and they would run out unfortunately, so instead I got reisbälle and my friend got the non-vegan smokers. neither of us was terribly impressed. but this place has a beautiful atmosphere and they can buy various Japanese foods and drinks from the shop.

Stopped in here for some vegan ramen and unfortunately they'd run out, so I got some rice balls instead, and my friend got the non-vegan ramen. Neither of us was terribly impressed. But this place has a nice atmosphere and you can buy various Japanese grocery items and beverages from the shop.

We stumbled upon this small gem of a shop and were amazed by what we found. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, with me opting for the tasty miso ramen and onigiri, while my wife chose the bi bim bop. In addition to the great lunch options, the store is stocked with an assortment of Japanese treats that brought back memories of my last trip to Japan. The sake selection at this tiny store is also impressive, offering a variety of options to choose from. View menu

we came here and were very excited to try the “vegan” ramen. it is not vegan, just vegetarian. they use eier noodles. then we wanted to try vegan omusubi. they had several options. when we ordered them, they said that the kitchen was overloaded because someone ordered 12 and that they couldn't make them for us. then we ordered a vanilla latte with mandelmilch. they were from vanilla. then they made it with regular milk and had to give it back. we have very hungry and disappointed.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
