Crystal Cafe - Menu

This is a fantastic restaurant to visit! The staff are incredibly friendly and know how to treat their customers well. The stuffed omelette with hash browns is excellent, and their homemade pies are made from scratch! The portions are very generous, making it well worth the visit.

I have been going to Crystal's for my entire life! I can't bare to go to Iola without making a stop. Our family favorites are the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, Apple Crisp, and their Homemade Berry Jelly. The staff is always so sweet and service is great! They make you feel right at home. :

This is the best place ever! The staff is outstanding—very friendly and attentive. The food, especially their pie, is absolutely amazing! We visited during an Iola car show weekend, and now we can't wait to go back. We even planned a weekend getaway just to enjoy their food and pie, despite living three hours away. I absolutely love Crystal Cafe; they never let me down! I only visit once or twice a year, but this past Sunday, my group of five and I stopped in, and we were in and out in under an hour. We were warmly greeted and seated, and the service was exceptional. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced! Our waitress went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. I can't wait to return! It's definitely worth the drive!

The baked chicken dinner was fantastic, accompanied by homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. We finished our meal with a warm caramel apple pie that was simply heavenly! We also sampled the peanut butter chocolate mousse pie and the cranapple pie (definitely get ice cream with that one). Both desserts were equally delicious! The service was the best we’ve ever had; our waitress was not only attentive but also hilarious! Overall, it was an absolutely wonderful experience!

I recently discovered a fantastic new breakfast spot. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The service is excellent, and everything is truly homemade. As someone who isn't from Wisconsin, I've been disappointed that, despite the area's German influence, I haven't found any potato pancakes on the menu. While driving through Amherst and Stevens Point, we discovered Iola, and we couldn't be happier! The Crystal Cafe is a charming throwback, boasting a delightful four-generation legacy. The burgers are fantastic, but the loaded fries are even better—crispy and delicious without being greasy. I ordered the soup special, a tomato basil, which paired perfectly with my grilled ham and cheese sandwich. There's also a good selection of beer, wine, or a nice cup of coffee to choose from. The pie arrived first, just as I had hoped, and let me tell you—Oh my goodness, it was INCREDIBLE! I chose the Caramel Apple Pie, and every single bite was absolutely delicious. Served warm, the pie was sweet, rich, and decadent. The crust was wonderfully flaky yet sturdy, and the apple pieces were cut to the perfect size—not too small, not too large. It was drizzled with a fabulous caramel sauce that took it to another level! When my breakfast arrived, I took a polite bite, but I couldn’t resist the pie and finished it all first. The service at the cafe is excellent. Our drinks arrived within minutes, and both the host and our server were friendly and attentive, exemplifying the charming hospitality typical of a small town. I ordered the "Heart Stopper Burger," which consists of two farm-fresh, hand-made patties topped with cheddar, Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, bacon, and mayo on the side, accompanied by homemade French fries.
