"BRAISED BEEF RIBS AND OX TAIL WITH CHEESEThat’s all you need to remember. Jk. Wow this place was amazing!! When we first walked up there was a bit of a line, but the wait is definitely worth it! You may expect to wait outside for around 15-20 minutes, maybe longer on busier days! The food itself is super delicious; we had the beef ribs and ox tail soup with cheese and purple rice with some rice cakes (Tteok-bokki). They melt the cheese in front of you which is cool. I didn’t expect much but the cheese itself is very gooey and adds another dimension to the beef and soup! The tteok-bokki was also super chewy and really delicious as well. The banchan (side dishes) were also fairly good. Overall: a must try!"

The beef short ribs were extremely tender and flavorful, with the standout addition of melted cheese on top. The cheesy goodness took the dish to another level, providing a rich and savory dimension that was impossible to resist. This is a must-try for anyone wanting to experience Korean cuisine with a delicious twist!

People wait in long lines for this for good reason. We got the signature kalbijim here and it was one of the best things I've ever had at a restaurant. The meat was so flavourful and tender, we wished we had ordered extra meat. For toppings we ordered rice cakes and cheese (which they melted with a torch right in front of us! .

Very delicious and filling korean food. Has variety of meat, vegetables, cheese and more. They come to bring it to your table and you share a big bowl of it with other people. About $120 per serving split with a group of 4 and it lowers the price. They gave rice as well as korean side dishes. Pricey but extremely worth it, wait times get bad after 5pm. View menu

I don’t think they do reservations here so I went on Yelp and joined the waitlist. If you plan to go here, I would do that for sure since this place seems to be crazy busy all the time! We went on a Wednesday night and I think once we joined the wait list it was like an hour+ wait, but I can’t remember for sure!My friend and I got kalbijjim and we were super happy. The meat was especially delicious! I would definitely recommend coming here!

I absolutely loved this place from the moment I arrived. We decided to order the regular Kko Gal Jjim (beef rib with ox tail) with cheese on top. The server torched the cheese right at our table, which was very entertaining. The service was quick when it came to bringing out the rice and ban chan dishes. The staff was also very friendly. The beef ribs were cooked to perfection, they practically melted in my mouth. The seasoning was amazing and had just the right amount of spice, which I really enjoyed.

This popular restaurant gets busy quickly, so make sure you know what you want to order before you enter because you have to order before you are seated. We decided to share a single dish, and it was a great choice. The presentation was very entertaining, with the sizzling dish topped with cheese torched at the table to melt the cheese. The beef ribs were cooked perfectly and were so tender that they practically melted in your mouth. The seasoning was fantastic, with just the right amount of spice for my taste buds. View menu

Street parking was surprisingly easy to come by. We arrived shortly after they opened at 4:30pm and every table filled up within 30 minutes. Atmosphere was buzzy and casual with a relatively young crowd. We started with the ox bone broth. It was rich, with al dente clear noodles and thin tender slices of beef. Kalbijjim was the star of the show. We had ours with tendon and rice cake. It was sticky sweet, tangy, and had a slight kick (mild spice level). The short rib was tender, rich, fatty, and flavorful. Stewed carrot, onion, and radish rounded out the hearty dish. We did regret not ordering the cheese. Would highly recommend for carnivores.

This place is always packed. I definitely recommend putting your name down on their Yelp waitlist so you know how long it will take before your table is ready. We got the cheese kalbijjim for 3 people, and we had quite a bit left after we were done eating. They ask you to order your food when you are next in line so they can start prepping it ahead of time. This makes sense given how packed they are. If you like spicy, then go for 3 or more spice levels. We chose level 2 spice, and it was still on the sweeter end. If you have any leftover food, they will give you to go containers that they'll seal after you are done.Their kalbijjim is what they are known for, and it's really good.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
