"Use to be the happening spot in Milwaukee. Delish food, and lines around the corner waiting to be seated. Those were the days. Todays Demarini 's offers nothing but nasty tasting food that is way overpriced for the quality, even for my dog. Gone are the days when everything was homemade, and worth the wait. The atmosphere is strait out of the 1970 's, and some of the food tastes as though it has been around that long also. Gone are the days of homemade dishes, replaced with everything, even the dough is pre-purchased and frozen. I personally do not understand how they stay in business. Saying their food is gross is an understatement. The waitstaff is very personable, courteous, and efficient, however the cook staff leaves quite a bit to be desired. In todays Demarinis they are only cooks and no longer chefs as they use to be. My opinion is they all need to go back to school, but I doubt if any of them went in the first place. There is definately no quality control, just sub standard food being laughingly referred to as the best in Milwaukee. If this is what think passes for good food, they all really need to get a taste bud transplant. This place gives good Milwaukee dining a bad name."

Nice food and friendly staff. I was a minority at this establishment but the staff and patrons were WELCOMING! I would definitely visit again. Plus the food was excellent!

Revised— I ordered extra cheese on my entire pizza and it was a little burned, which made it difficult to actually bite into. The next day as it settled it was actually delicious—

My FAVORITE pizza spot in the Milwaukee area! Non-traditional (cooked on a rectangle sheet) but the crust is to die for! Anyone that has served us go above and beyond general service giving personal attention. Highly recommend!

atmosphere and service was amazing. the eating was disappointing and low-grade. would definitely come back for drinks and the old experience, but do not bring friends to dinner as originally planned. with a little more attention to the aromas and quality of the food, this place could be an amazing place to bring guests, or go out for a cozy date at night, however it stands, mais from a dose, watery tasteless iceberg salads and thin, toothless linguins with conservenclams and tasteless oil simply does not cut the. the flesh was pretty good. I really wish that in the 50s I could relive the aromes of this place!

"This restaurant was really trying to be the third coast by dumping the entire ocean 's worth of salt into their dishes. I have never been so thirsty in my life the day after I ate here. With the number of great reviews on top of the beautiful interiors, I had such high expectations for this restaurant that I happily brought my partner and his father (who traveled from out of the country to visit to the restaurant. Imagine my disappointment and embarrassment for bringing them here, only to be given overpriced and oversalted food. The only redeeming factors of the restaurant were the interior design (absolutely gorgeous , the potholes (delicious but still salty , and our waitress who served us in the mezzanine on 10/8 (I forgot her name, sorry! . When we first got our appetizer--the mushrooms, we were literally eating a spoonful of salt at a time. I RARELY send back food, but I had to send the mushrooms back before the dish induces any hypertensive emergency among us. After we got the new mushrooms dish after telling our waitress we wanted just 1/4-1/3 of the salt, the dish still came back extremely salty and the waitress said the cook apologized for ACCIDENTALLY DOUBLE-SALTING THE DISH. I 'm sorry, but WHAT. All of our subsequent dishes then tasted all just like salt without a hint of other seasoning. I wasn 't sure if it 's because our tastebuds were so skewed after eating so much salt that our remaining dishes just didn 't taste that great. It was just salty. Anyways we walked out with a $260 bill for three people which was outrageous for this quality of food in Milwaukee of all places. I 'm not sure how people are raging about this restaurant. I have sworn to never return and have told others to avoid going to this restaurant altogether. Opt for somewhere else for better quality food that 's actually worth the cost."
