"Okay place to get some Chinese flavor in the area. Had soup noodle and taco boa or gua boa where most of the places call it . The soup noodle was quite innovative with a lot of veggies, however, the flavor of the broth could be stronger. Taco boa aka gua boa is actually quite good with juicy pork belly. The taste could elevate a lot if they add some grind peanut 花生粉 or 花生糖 . Over all, not too shabby if you live around hilldale and don't own a car. Would probably try their dumplings next time. Another thing is they serve with take out boxes whether you are dining in or to go. Would love to have actual plates and utensils next time dining in."

First time visiting, I had the chicken steamed dumplings and chicken fried rice and it was pretty good! It is a bit on the pricey side though. Myself and one other person was around $40, with us both just getting dumplings, rice, and a drink.

It's nice. There are vegetarian and vegan options. Veggie wontons with garlic sauce is great. Asian places need to have great white rice. Mine was a little crusty but passable. The veg rolls were good. Better to eat there even if the only packaging is a cheap takeout box.

The xiao long bao is quite good, but I feel that most items on the menu are overpriced. It's a self-service restaurant, so don't expect much in terms of the ambiance. However, the dumplings here are significantly better than those you can buy from Asian markets and prepare at home.

I can’t believe this horrible food costed me more than $25 after tax and service fee. From a Taiwanese Taiwanese point of view, what they served cannot be called “food”. I’m very disappointed what I had especially when I saw the servers I thought this could be a legit Chinese restaurant (Sigh) I’d never go back and would not recommend anyone to try their food if you’d like to have some genuine Chinese cuisine. Ordered food to dine in, was served in to go containers. No silverware, only plastic forks which are not ideal for eating noodles, not to mention not eco friendly. Atmosphere, service, quality of food are like mediocre casual dining, but prices are like a nice sit down restaurant. Food was good but nothing amazing. Didn’t try the dumplings, but unless they’re out of this world good I would rather just go to Noodles co.

I ordered the signature dumplings and got ten, which was a good portion. They were decent, although a bit firmer than I prefer; I usually like them softer and a bit moister. This might have been due to the lid being on while they were hot. The dipping sauce was tasty, and while I've had better dumplings, these were acceptable for a quick bite. Unfortunately, about 20 minutes after leaving, I had an upset stomach. Thankfully, there was a bathroom nearby.

Overall, it was ok. Clean establishment and friendly service. Food was mediocre. Chicken fried rice had plus of shredded chicken, but was bland tasting. Spring rolls were mushy inside. Shrimp dumplings said 10 to an order which there were, but so small, it was like 4 at most other places. Haus dumpling, chicken, was basically what other places label as goyza. Couldn't really tell it was chicken, but was sort of bland. Considering prices, was expecting better. No plans to go back. View menu

I regret not choosing Bar Taco or another restaurant in Hilldale, especially as our two soups came to nearly $30, which is similar to what we’d pay elsewhere for full-service with proper dishes. While the soup had a nice flavor, it was overly salty, and they didn't even provide water. To the owner: I understand we’re still navigating Covid-19, but please clearly communicate if your restaurant is takeout only. At this point, I probably won’t be returning anytime soon, nor would I recommend it to a friend.

My husband and I came here for dinner, we were looking for something more low key and something yummy. We decided to give this place a try. We are do happy we did!!! The food was delicious, the bao, dumplings, spring rolls were so good! Yes- they bring it out in to go containers, but I personally loved this. since you pay up front, you don't have to go ask for containers and dirty a dish which they would then have to wash- I can appreciate just giving the food in containers to go. We also ordered some extra food to take home because it was so good! [we dont live super close]. Highly recommend!
