"One of my Yelpie resolutions is checking out some more hole in the wall neighborhood spots. These might not be the fanciest, but might end up being a cool find. Thus I came to El Arroyito. Technically, I came here after a run in the Little Havana area and heard the music from outside. Yes, even during lunchtime they had a DJ playing salsa merengue playing! If I went in the evening for their more clublike setting, I certainly believe the rating would be higher. As far as food, it 's your no-frills hispanic dishes: a really tasty black bean soup, a generous piece of grilled chicken (pollo a la plancha), and crispy tostones. I 'd stop by for a quick bite if I 'm in the area."

It keeps getting better every day! The Nicaraguan and Cuban food is excellent. They also host karaoke parties on the weekends.

The food is incredibly tasty and the portion sizes are generous. The prices are quite reasonable. This restaurant has been around for a long time, and it's easy to understand why. View menu

I am now 21 years old and I’ve been going to this place since I was small with my family. It’s a very family friendly restaurant for day and night. The food is great There is a DJ on Friday and Saturday night and also Sunday afternoons, they put great music and there’s also karaoke.

I was in the area getting my car fixed and stumbled across El Arroyito Cafe. The service was excellent, and the food was unreal. I ordered a Bistec Empanizado that was lights out. Massive portions and cooked to perfection. They serve a homemade hot sauce/salsa that I would recommend as well- brought it all together. I saved it to my Miami map and will come back for sure.

"If you want to find, arguably, the best bandeja paisa in Miami, this just might be the place. Not your typical hole in the wall, cheap eats but definitely a quaint and enjoyable sit down experience. Ventured here after my craving got too intense and I went to old faithful Yelp for guidance. Although relatively new, the pictures of the food really sold me and I brought some hungry souls along with me. We ordered some empanadas Colombianas, super fresh and steaming hot! The sauces they serve them with was also perfect. For entrees, we went with a Calentado Paisa the Bandeja Paisa (this one was twice the price but very hearty and more than enough for two good eaters). We also each went with some natural juices fruit limonadas coconut lime sounds odd but it works! I opted to not give the full 5 stars because of several reasons that I think they can easily fix: 1. Nicely and simply decorated but little ambiance overall adding a little authentic Colombian music or more cultural touches could help 2. The waiter was nice but kept trying to push more and more on us... even mentioning that the bandeja paisa was a decent portion but not enough for two people (it was actually more than enough and we both left stuffed) 3. Ordered a sancocho de res and although taste wasn't bad, the meat was rough and you could tell coloring had been added seems like a typical case of not having had enough time to cook it properly as it does take hours to make a proper sancocho Quality of the food is evident and I will definitely be going back to fix my next craving!"
