El Charro Café - Menu

nice menu, I ate in the shadow with my 3 besties. my número uno was full and tasteful. carlos was great, but we think reworked (only working server? when the service was not bad, just stay a little in the time. I'm looking forward to the return before she gets back home.

great authentic Mexican meal. this place has been for 100 years! they have to do something right. fantastic meal with great taste marinated in the pulled bark. the green chili taste just came perfectly through the dish. el charo is the only place that is always included in each visit in tucson.

I had been to the El Charro downtown, but I hadn't been to the one on the Northside. We had the vegan stuffed mushrooms and ceviche for appetizers, and they were both so good and fresh. Me and my girlfriend whent for lunch. We ordered Seafood Enchilidas and Quesabirria Enchilidas. They are both really good but we both decided the seafood ones are better. Beans are delicious and the rice is nicely cooked. The restaurant itself has a ver cool atmosphere and the music is on point. Check it out sometime.

the service was good as soon as we got service. sa 15 minutes without anyone coming for a drink order (there were only 4 other tables and about 5 people at the bar.) eating was good, fresh, hot (temperature def not spicy.) decor was really cool, lighting was soft, music was a bit loud, but an otherwise pleasant ambiente.

My husband and I tried El Charro Café for Happy Hour and were not disappointed! The appetizer menu is substantial and with $2 off and generous portions, it is a real bargain. There was $2 off the margaritas as well. My favorite drink was the 1922. The Tamale Stuffed Mushrooms and Shrimp Ceviche were my favorite appetizers. The service was great. View menu

I can definitely see why this place is so heavily recommended! Amazing flavors and quality food, with many vegetarian options. The margaritas were pretty standard, but the food was the real star of the show. The table salsa was phenomenal, and how so much flavor without being overly spicy. The combination plate is a great deal! I would definitely recommend this location over the downtown one, as the other location has a VERY long wait.

first to keep the hired who put me in the position, forgot that I waited for 10 minutes. I hung up when I noticed I was forgotten. then I ordered online, but then that order was cancelled by the restaurant. So I had to call again and that was fine. but then I mean with the tortillas I ordered. Instead they gave me what the picture is (I suppose it's the broth with avocado) and not tortillas at all. and yes, I ate some because I'm broken and paid $11 for it.

Very good Mexican! We were visiting, but our family that lives in Tucson says that this is the best Mexican they've had while living there! My SIL says it has the best chimichangas she's had (and chimichamgas are kinda her thing ; . We all shared combo plates. My favorites were the chicken tacos on flour tortillas. The chicken was SO moist! And the chicken tamales. They had the perfect amount of spice! The chips they served with the salsa and shrimp ceviche were authentic and delicious. They had a nice curtained off area indoors for our party of 40 people! The bathrooms were decorated fun and clean with a baby changing table. The bar had fun drinks and the decorations were charming.
