"Upon entering a man greeted us and took our reservation information. He left to check on our table we assumed. A tall blond woman then asked us for the same info again. Upon informing her we already did this process she rudely excused us and proceeded to seat two groups behind us. The man in the plaid shirt returned and realized he had forgotten about us. Just lots of uncomfortable mismanagement and standing around the entry. The carrots on the Dover sole were so hard that my butter knife could not penetrate them at all. I had to request a steak knife."

"great little place in Aspen. The food and service were great. The server was ready to answer any question we may have had and kept us up on when each course was coming out. The chicken board was exceptional. Definitely will return again and again."

"I absolutely love Monarch! I was so upset on my anniversary meal , Dover Sole! I know it was October and end season, but if your going to decide to stay ope a week or so after some of the restraunts close, the food needs to be outstanding until the door closes for season . We had some friends that ate there October and they said the exact same thing. I love this restraunt and don’t want it to get a bad name just because of the last week"

"We were celebrating our 47th anniversary of the night we met, and we've been together ever since. We live in Aspen and Clark's is one of our favorite restaurants. Here we are in the Rocky Mountains, thousands of miles from the nearest ocean, and yet the fish, oysters, clams, shrimp, etc. are as fresh as when we lived in San Francisco on the ocean. We highly recommend Clark's to anyone who lives in or is visiting Aspen."
