"This place has long hours and plenty of seats. It is a good place to hang out as you almost always find seats easily. I would give the place 3.5 stars if there were such an option: 4 for food and 3 for pastry. I have tried a number of their items and thefood such as salads, crepes, sandwiches, omelette, brunch items have generally been good but the pastries are usually just OK.Their cannoli were nontraditional not entirely in a good way in my opinion. While the creme was light, the shell, instead ofbeing flaky, was hard and sticky and overly sweet."

Great cakes and a very friendly service! They helped reserve a readymade cake on last minute notice and held it for me.

Nice corner coffee, pastry shop. Employee was polite and brief, so it was order then go sit. No small talk. We liked it.

I was visiting LA and stayed on the UCLA campus. Needed a place to finish up with some work after dinner and Elyseewas the perfect place. Solid iced coffee and vibes. Will be back next time in town. View menu

The food was delicious, and I will definitely return. However, I'm not sure if it's just my taste, but I found their pastries to be fairly average—nothing too impressive. I tried a fruit tart and a slice of coconut pineapple cake.

Great brunch or breakfast place. Th coffee is so-so but the food is tasty. The pastries are good as well with enough variety. A little pricey from what it used to be $20 a full meal), but it is comparable to other places in the area anf similar quality.

Definitely this fruit cake was yummy my sister bought it to celebrate a special occasion and our family definitely enjoyed it. They made this fruit cake with a lot of love because the detail on it was just lovely. It had a chocolate crust on the bottom and I just enjoyed every bit of it. Nice job and will be going back soon. We had a sandwich with grilled veggies—cold sandwich, good quality bread, cheese but the grilled eggplant was undercooked, flavorless, rubbery and they had raw mushrooms in there as well. Rest of the veggies were fine, the recipe just needs a little tweaking. Latte tasted burnt, couldn’t finish. I think if you go to this place just for the desserts, you’ll probably be fine tho, we didn’t try them but they looked amazing.

Google reviews have failed me here to find good coffee and pastry. I would have given 2 stars but I only ordered 2 things so maybe the other stuff is better?? Latte was flat and watery. The danish was mushy and under baked. I couldn't finish eating it, despite being hungry and threw it out. What a waste of money. I'm sorry, I dislike giving negative reviews but I wish someone would have advised me to go somewhere else for coffee and pastry.
