Fields Kitchen - Menu

Went to Reading to see a friend’s concert. Not familiar with the area. We couldn’t have found a better dinner spot!

Was much better place to go when it was Viva Bistro,Use to be one of my favorite places to go to eat and have some drinks, Menu has change small portions, And not as good, Would not be going back !

We were disappointed in the menu change! Viva had the best French onion soup in Berks our usual salad has been changed. We understand menus need to be updated/refreshed but we certainly miss our favorites. View menu

I had been here before but the two people I brought had never been there. They could not stop talking about the place. The over all look, the staff and the great menu. And we were all very happy with the our meals. When we were leaving we were already discussing the next time we want to come back. Thank you for a pleasurable night out.

I used to go to Viva before the rebranded themselves as Fields, and I really wasn't a big fan of it. But ever since they decided to go farm to table, I'm really impressed. The menu has a wide variety and some very inventive flavors, I'm excited to see what they continue to do as the season change! My one complaint is service was a bit slow, but the servers were all very friendly.

As a group of 6 we were given a choice of large booth or table. We took the booth which was large and comfortable. We were waited on promptly. The menu was diverse. We had the crab dip which was delicious. We had the basic flatbread which was unremarkable- I would not recommend that. Several of us had the shrimp Mediterranean salad- yummy! Other meals included a hamburger selection that was very good. Overall this was a pleasant experience and we will be back! View menu

I enjoyed my food. But I don’t like that the menu has changed and it’s seems as if the portions have gotten smaller as well. We no sooner had our appetizers then our salad came, then our soup followed back to back by our main meal. We had no room on our table for everything and felt rushed. I had asked for someone to sing happy birthday at our table and that didn’t happen either. Overall it’s going to be a while till we return. And that’s a shame since I come here a fair amount of time and talked highly of the place. I will be looking for a new place to take friends to for now.

good for burger, but hostess service not so much. we had reservations, there were many open tables, and we went right after a party of three with out reservations. the party of three was immediately sat. we had to wait until our table was set (but there were plenty of 6 tops in different stations open. when the hostess placed us in an area that did not actually have a server. so we are 30 minutes in the house and no service. we let the hostess know and it took another 10 minutes to get attention. Once we had service, it was great. peggy sue was our server and she was fantastic. Eating was good, not great.

extremely disappointed. had a reservation for over a week and ended with a table at the door that rolled them together after my party checked. not only the ambiente sucked, we got a cold explosion every time the door was opened. expects better a reservation. the posse on the switch was not very organized either. we were asked three times in 10 minutes when we wait for a table. if there was a lot on the door and a host would have been understandable. two or three parties wait and a lot behind the counter. not so much. then we have the menu. nothing like the menus viva has offered in past. yuk! packed and left before the drinks arrived.
