"one of the BEST donuts i’ve had so far in chicago. i got their valrhona chocolate iced and it was absolutely decadent. the chocolate icing was rich and not to sweet, and there was a good amount of it too! it was melt in your mouth! the yeast donut itself was doughy and soft, not stale at all. and the donut was huge! highly recommend and i’ll definitely be back soon!"

Service was terrible. The server was short and abrupt with us in a seemingly emtpy cafe.

Very good donuts. I had an espresso cream and a few bites of the wild honey glaze. Tasty.

Surprisingly delicious and moist vegan gluten-free donut. Only one vegan donut though and I like trying new flavors View menu

Fire cakes donuts, sorry but I found the price a little too expensive for donuts i could buy somewhere else or at the store.

They advertise vegan options, main reason why we made the extra way to it, but in both locations in chicago not available, even not in the morning.

I love their doughnuts. I happened to come across this location while in the neighborhood and had a coffee and doughnut — such a great delight. Definitely check this place out. View menu

Not what I would call good donuts. Quick run down. Pistachio old fashioned: tasted like food coloring should have known with that weird forest green hue. Key Lime Pie: bitter bitter bitter. Tahitian Vanilla: overcooked and reeked of oil. $12 for 3 donuts that were inedible.

Their donuts (especially their old fashioneds) are delicious, and the service is always good, but their fritters are consistently lacking; there is never enough fruit in them. Firecakes is also NOT cheap, sometimes it feels like one isn't really getting their money's worth.... there are other donut shops in the city that offer higher quality baked goods.
