"ANNEX does not use delivery services like Grubhub or Uber, which means you won’t have to pay any extra delivery fees. The atmosphere is nostalgic and reminiscent of training films from the past. The shrimp and lobster sauce is just right – it’s packed with ice and ground pork, with no peas or carrots in sight, making it a rare find among local takeout spots. The egg rolls are generously filled and deliciously meaty. The fried rice is moist and has a hearty portion of pork as well. The fried dumplings are flavorful, and the dipping sauce isn’t overly vinegary. This is truly a fantastic example of traditional Long Island Chinese food, just like I remember from the 80s. I can’t wait to try more dishes!"

I asked for General Tsos extra spicy. It was unspicy and not much sauce. Usually good food and I will give them another try BUT the cook needs to slow down. I'm willing to wait longer to get it right.

I truly do not understand the people in the reviews because this place is awesome and the food is great. They have been there for many years and I have enjoyed their take-out many times. Its very good and the people are very nice. View menu

This restaurant is exactly what I was looking for in Chinese cuisine. The food is well-prepared and presented beautifully. The portions are impressive—it's great to know that you can enjoy such high-quality food in generous amounts. I would mention that the dishes have a slightly American twist when it comes to the spices, but it still satisfies. There’s no beer or wine available, but you can choose to sit at a table or dine outside. However, the sushi bar is really good! I definitely plan to return many times.

1. They DELIVER without a service like Grubhub or Uber. So you?re not paying extra delivery charges that make Deliverance and Pulp Fiction look like training films. 2. The shrimp and lobster sauce is as it should be?lots of egg and ground pork, no peasand carrots?.the kind that?s tougher and tougher to find in neighborhood takeout places. 3. The egg rolls are plump and loadedup with pork. 4. Similarly, the fried rice is moist with a generous amount of pork. 5. Fried dumplings are flavorful and thedipping sauce isn?t vinegary. This is great old-style LI take-out chinese food like I remember from the 80?s. Can?t wait totry more dishes.

Went to Foo Luck for first time. First impression was not good at all, had to ask for a take out menu several times since the one on the counter was ripped and missing parts of the menu. After deciding what we wanted I patiently waited (no othercustomers in the store) several minutes then asked the young man twice if he could take our order. The food had better be betterthan there poor customer service! Probably will not be going back since we were going to Meat Farms and decided to eat Chinesefood tonight. Well we got our food and it was ????????. Will never return again, don?t know how they stay in business! Guesssome people don?t care what they put in their mouth! View menu

"UPDATE June 30, 2023 My family took another shot at Sangria 71 in Commack. Unfortunately, it was basically the same experience. Really great service. However, I was hoping that the food was just as good. However, it was once again average. The staff was outstanding. Our server Teresa was fantastic and went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. In addition, our busgirl Claudia also very pleasant. The hostesses were very accomadaing, and the valets were terrific. Alexi was also awesome! As for the food, my boil was good, but the shrimp was overcooked....very tough. However, the lobster was very tasty. The calamari was also good. The feedback on the steaks was mixed. The main criticism was not taste, it came down to the toughness of the meat. The desserts were good, but they did have ab artificial taste time them. It is a very nice restaurant aestetically, and it has a great vibe and energy. I really enjoyed the overall experience and want to like it more....they just need to kick up the food a notch....I hope that they do! ________________________________ A real solid 3 Stars. If I could give it 3.5 Stars I would; but there isn't that option for this review. This is a very nice space with a wonderful staff. Our waiter Aaron was terrific and our busgirl Teresa was fantastic! I wanted to rate this higher, but the food was a mixed bag. The oysters looked beautiful, but actually lacked flavor. I don't know how that's possible, but they were extremely bland. Not even a trace of the ocean...very odd. The salad had no flavor. It was very cold and basic. It reminded me of those salads in the NYC theater district resteraunts that are pre made and kept in the refrigerator. The octopus was good. Nice garlic flavoring. A little chewy, but good. My main course was tasty as well. I enjoy the seafood and flavors in the Mariscos. The Sangria was average; but I did enjoy the spicy Margherita very much. Our family enjoyed the desserts. Overall, it's a good place. It just needs to tweak a few things, and it can reach the next level."
