"Great spot for coffee, desserts, and so much more! The menu is very extensive featuring crispy egg waffles, egg tarts, breakfast foods, wings, and egg tarts. The owner is an older man who runs the shop mainly on his own during the weekdays. He can seem a bit intimidating at first, but he 's actually a very nice guy when you stop to converse with him. All the coffee here is roasted and made in house, and because he makes everything himself, the orders take some time. We stayed to study for about 4 hours and within those hours we ordered a pandan coconut coffee, ube coconut coffee, Pandan mochi waffle, Yummy Bao with pork, Durian egg waffle, and tofu pudding. Pandan coconut coffee 5/5: The coffee is strong with a subtle taste of pandan. I like that it 's not too sweet and you can taste a good amount of coffee. Ube coconut coffee 4.5/5: I loved that this was made with real purple yam bits. You get a strong flavor of coffee and the ube flavor isn 't as strong but you can ask for it to be more sweet if you want more flavor. Pandan mochi waffle 5/5: so crispy and delicious! Pandan flavor is very light and not too sweet which I liked and the mochi on the inside was nice and chewy! Yummy Bao with pork 4/5: this is like a sandwich that came with a large piece of pork belly, tomato, and lettuce that is sandwiches in an Asian steamed Bao! Durian egg waffle 5/5: if you are a durian fan like me, definitely try this out! There is fresh durian filling in the waffle with a light taste of durian. I especially love the crispy texture and you can 't go wrong with any of their waffle flavors. Tofu Pudding 4/5: got this with red bean and mung bean and it was pretty good. The beans were a little hard but the tofu was very silky and tasted great with the syrup. It gets pretty busy during the weekday mornings but dies down in the early afternoons and makes a great spot to study at. It is a relatively quiet study spot with no background music other than the sound of the owner making coffee. There is parking available in the back parking lot as well as street parking in front of the shop.Overall, I would highly recommend checking out this spot for great coffee and a variety of snacks. This has easily become one of my go to study spots because of the quiet environment and extensive food options!"

The place was cute and a little rustic looking. I got the pandan coffee and tbh it was not exactly what i expected! I think i would like the coffee more concentrated and the pandan to be less watery. Seems like a good place to do work though

The food and coffee here are excellent and offered at very reasonable prices. However, the 5-star rating truly reflects the owners and the inviting atmosphere. The decor has a unique and cozy feel, making it a great place to relax. The owners are incredibly friendly and enjoyable to chat with. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I am disappointed at the price I was charged for a coffee late... $9.00 dls! I don't see any of the menu prices showing this amount and even if tax is included it is so wrong. I wish owner were more conscious about overpricing!! He seemed a nice gentleman but this really has blown my mind with all the recession going on as if it wasn't enough. Sorry but this is showing to me that this business is running dishonestly : View menu

Famous in our area for a good reason. Best coffee, best vibes, best everything. The definition of iykyk. Every single one of my friends from high school still comes here as regularly as they can and it hasn't changed in years. The coffee is freshly roasted on-site, the snacks are unique and all amazing, and the owner is passionate and sweet. This place will always be a staple and an icon. #iykyk #sgv #freshroastforever

This place has really legit coffee. You can tell they make their coffee with pride.Hot Coffee temptation coffee, vanilla, milk. Great bold flavor foamy. I enjoyed it but it was sweet for my taste. I would order it again but less sweet.Iced Vietnamese coffee a bit sweet but was great after adding some milk to it.Atmosphere was nice, lots of interesting displays and signs to look at. It's like sitting in my living room.... needs a good dusting and decluttering.

I stopped by this morning for a quick coffee and breakfast on the go. It was our first visit, and the staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Our group enjoyed the pandan coffees, Hanoi egg coffee, bubble waffle, freshly baked croissant, and egg tarts. Everything was served quickly and was delicious. The menu features a great selection of hot and iced coffees, HK milk tea, bubble tea, Vietnamese coffee, cold drinks, and breakfast/lunch options. They also offer milk alternatives like almond and soy milk, as well as indoor seating. View menu

**Pandan Coconut Coffee** This was my first experience with this coffee combination, and I individually enjoy all three flavors. The flavor profile was quite unique, with a strong presence of coconut and pandan, accompanied by a hint of sweetness. However, the coffee was quite strong, leaving a slightly burnt, bitter aftertaste. Since I typically prefer sweet, creamy lattes, this coffee flavor may be more to your liking. While I wasn't entirely enamored with the drink, it wasn't unpleasant either. **Hong Kong Egg Waffle** This is made fresh to order (as it should be), so it was served hot and steamy! I opted for a plain original waffle without any filling or flavor. In terms of texture...

What a great find. A gem in the haystack. A mom-pop coffee shop on the streets of San Gabriel Blvd. There's limited parking in the back. The owner is friendly and he took my order, told me it would be about a 10-15 min wait while they made my order, and rung me up. 1. Pandan Coffee (5/5)I love that they use quality coffee and that they do not add additional sugar. It's strong in coffee flavor, but the pandan juice and coconut milk added subtle sweetness and fragrant flavor. I'd drink this everyday if I could. 2. Hanoi Insanity Coffee (5/5)It's essentially egg cream foam on top of coffee, which sounds gross, but surprisingly very good. The egg foam has a bit of sweetness and savoriness to it...

"Got in little late decided to UberEATS some food from this new Vietnamese restaurant. Flavors pretty solid but not best execution I 've had. ITEM 'S ORDERED: Garlic Noodle w/ Shaken Beef Spicy Basil Chicken w/ Rice TASTE: Garlic Noodle w/ Shaken Beef was executed ok. The beef being filet mignon was not as tender as expected, but not so bad. Has a more tame savory black pepper flavor with just a hint of sweetness. The noodles seemed either a little too al dente or maybe somewhat stale or old. Garlic flavor was a little too weak but not a bad flavor overall. There 's green red bell peppers as well as cilantro. Spicy Basil Chicken w/ Rice was the winner in this meal. Very well seasoned flavorful. Savory, but not overly salty actually quite spicy as you continue to eat. Glad the rice was not overcooked pairs well with the very flavorful sauce. There 's green red bell peppers as well as cilantro in this one as well. Both entrees come with a little romaine lettuce side salad with tomatoes pickled radish carrots. Lightly sweet, vinegary mayo dress dressing which I liked. I did not like the ends of the romaine hearts being in there. They should always be discarded. Everything was overly oily/greasy to the point you can just feel it all in your lips as you keep eating. At least it 's all quite flavorful since it 's really bad when it 's all oily lacking in flavor. Everything was quite hot when it arrived. Did not have to reheat anything. I do live close to this restaurant though. SERVICE, LOCATION PARKING: UberEATS order so no direct comments on service. All the food was packed well I like that they gave garlic chili sauce which pairs well with these foods. They are located in that somewhat new strip mall right across Costco off of Commonwealth Date. You can enter on either of those streets. There 's a shared parking lot which is usually easy to find a spot in. But it 's still usually busy in there since the parking lot is not really big enough for all the businesses there. Food was not a complete fail flavors were mainly solid so I 'm not opposed to getting food here again. Plus I 'm just so close to it as well."

"Awesome place! Recommended to me by my old Band director at the local highschool. Vouched for the garlic fries (they use FRESH garlic, get ready for that BITE! If the photos actually uploaded in order, they are the buttermilk fried chicken, 3 meat bbq tray(brisket, pastrami, pulled pork w/ side of coleslaw mashed potatoes, poutine fries, 2 meat bbq tray (brisket pastrami w/ side of mashed potatoes mac, beer flight (bartenders choice , buck cherry, and lastly the bbq pork sliders. Also ordered pork ribs but forgot to take a photo. Great friendly service! Chill atmosphere, great place for food and drinks. Meat trays are definitely worth it. The pulled pork was a smidge dry though. The other selections were significantly more juicy. Should split this someone unless you plan on taking some home. Coleslaw had some spice to it. Very complimentary. Mashed potatoes needed an extra umph . Something like garlic or ever fresh pepper can bring it up a level. I 'm told the poutine fries were good from my friend that ordered them. Didn 't get a chance to try any as they demolished the plate! Must 've been good! Mac was great, definitely a solid choice! Can never go wrong with sliders! Their sauce definitely makes an improvement to everything. Drinks were great. Loved the pork ribs but everyone else thought they were dry. Maybe they got bad ribs because the ones I tried were pretty juicy(I ate them late too . It 's also possible that they might have just been expecting a saucey rib rather than a dry rub rib. The buttermilk chicken was decent, that garlic sauce definitely brought it up a level! Y 'all need a Nashville style one too! Overall a great experience and awesome food. Definitely a step up from the last time I came. Will be back for sure!"
