"First of all, we were greeted with a lovely bread basket that featured a delightful assortment of treats. We ordered a Mojito and an Arnold Palmer; however, the Arnold Palmer was never refilled, nor were we offered a refill. Someone simply came by, took the glass away, and that was the end of it. The Caesar salad was on the smaller side and quite ordinary. The beef carpaccio was quite enjoyable, accompanied by a generous serving of sliced truffles. The Barolo-braised short ribs were flavorful and cooked to perfection."

Terrific, as always. The veal chop and tuna tartare are standouts, as is the Branzino.

NYE dinner was first class. The restaurant was nicely decorated, the pre fixe menu had plenty of choices, and the food as well as the service was excellent. Gabriel and the staff, including his son Theo made it a very memorable evening for my wife and me. Thank you.

We visited this lovely family-owned restaurant for New Year's Eve and had an incredible experience. The staff were outstanding, and the food was delicious. The wine selection was impressive as well. One of the highlights was being able to watch the fireworks over Central Park without having to stand in the rain. I would definitely return to this place! View menu

Probably the best dining experience I?ve ever had! The ambiance was stunning the lighting, the seating, the bar, and the art!!! Not to mention the staff was SO lovely and location is superb with a perfect view of Central Park. We were greeted by Gabriel (the owner) with a friendly handshake welcoming me into the restaurant. Our waiter was amazing as well guiding me towards gluten free options and encouraging the delicious specials. YOU MUST GET the truffle risotto !!

We had a great lunch catching up with some family from out of town at Gabriel's. The staff was very accommodating. We were a group of seven and they were able to accommodate our request for outdoor seating. They do of course have cafe style outdoor seating, but normally it's two-top tables, so they had to do some pre-prep beforehand. When it started to rain the staff was very quick about asking us if we wanted the table rearranged into an L shape so as to provide more awning

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
