"This is the worst dining experience I 've ever had. I can over look a waiter who broke a glass while giving us water, but a disrespectful owner is where I draw the line. After finding a hair in my friends food, we asked the waiter to bring it back for a new one. Then the owner comes over and tells us in a rude tone that, everyone in the kitchen wears a hat so it couldn 't be from them. Keep in mind, the kitchen staff are wearing baseball caps, not hairnets. Also, it could have been the waiters hair. That 's besides the point. Hair in food is probably pretty standard for a restaurant and yet the owner felt the need to come over to essentially call us liars. We didn 't even touch the food yet, what is the value in lying to get a new one? My friend then proceeded to go up to the owner and ask why he did what he did, and the owner continued to never apologize and defend his actions.The owner never apologized for the hair, and more importantly for his actions. I will never be coming back to this restaurant, and I suggest you do the same to avoid an experience like this.I left out many of the unimportant details, but, just know it was worse then what I have written. If I could give negative stars, I would."

Georgie Vs is a fixture in downtown northbrook. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Love the coffee and the cream! Not sure what kind it is. But makes for a great start to the day! View menu

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It was a popular breakfast spot, especially for a Wednesday morning. The service was good, and the food was very tasty and fresh. I highly recommend it if you’re in the Northbrook area!

The food was amazing, and the restaurant itself is lovely and very clean. My only concern was that it took nearly 20 minutes for the food to arrive, even though there were only a few guests in the restaurant at the time. Other than that, it was a great breakfast experience.

I’ve been coming here for five years, probably over 100 times, as my wife and I visit most weekends. We’ve never had a negative experience. The food is fantastic, and the service is outstanding. The owner always makes us feel like VIPs whenever we walk in. It may sound strange, but this is our favorite restaurant. We’ve created wonderful memories and a sense of community here. View menu

Excellent! My wife and I were in town for a family event and stopped here for breakfast. It was a good decision! I ordered a greek style omelette with hash browns and pancakes, my wife ordered a veggie frittata with toast and fruit. The food was perfectly prepared. Service was fast and friendly, only a slight ding was a little fruit fly harassing my wife. The final bill $28 plus tax. So affordable!

I should have written this review some time ago. I've been eating here for over twenty years. Georgie V's is excellent food and excellent service all around. More than that though, it's so obvious that ownership, Angelo and his family, care deeply about making their restaurant the best breakfast-lunch place it can be. As a customer, I've seen the restaurant change and develop over time and it's very cool to see a place that is truly focused on achieving excellence for it's customers. If you're looking for a breakfast-lunch place that is consistently great food and has a great atmosphere, then Georgie V's is your spot! I highly, highly recommend.
